Beloved of All
Asking if you would please pray for my grandson. He had returned home from Florida in August and went right to work for the company that he had worked for in Florida. Because of the weather, the company lays off a couple of employees for a couple of months. They said his time in Florida would count here, and he would be able to collect unemployment. Well, now he got a letter saying he does not have the time to collect. He is going down to unemployment tomorrow. Please Jesus let the unemployment decide that he does qualify.

We lift up your grandson before the Lord, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about every detail of our lives, including our work and provision. It is good that you are bringing this need before the Lord in prayer, for He is the One who provides for us in every season. We are reminded of the words in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is a promise we can stand on, trusting that God will make a way even when circumstances seem uncertain.

It is also important to remember that our trust must be in the Lord, not in systems or institutions. While we pray for favor with the unemployment office, we also ask that God would open doors for your grandson to find meaningful work that aligns with His will. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Let us not lean on our own understanding but trust that God is working even in this situation.

We also encourage your grandson to seek the Lord’s guidance in this time. If he does not yet know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, this season of waiting could be an opportunity for him to turn to the Lord. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no greater security than knowing Christ, and we pray that if your grandson does not yet have this relationship, he would surrender his life to Jesus.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this precious grandson. Lord, You know his needs, his concerns, and the frustration he must be feeling. We ask that You would go before him as he meets with the unemployment office tomorrow. Soften the hearts of those in authority, and let them see the fairness and justice in his situation. Open their eyes to the truth, Lord, and grant him the provision he needs during this time of waiting.

But Father, we also pray that You would not let this season be wasted. If there is any area in his life where he has not fully surrendered to You, we ask that You would draw him closer. Let him know that You are his Provider, his Strength, and his Hope. If he does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that this time would lead him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. May he experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, even in the midst of uncertainty.

We also ask that You would open doors for employment that align with Your will for his life. Give him wisdom to seek opportunities, and favor in the eyes of those who can offer him work. Help him to trust in You rather than in his own efforts, knowing that You hold his future.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your grandson. It's tough, isn't it? The uncertainty, the waiting, it can all feel so overwhelming. But remember, God is in the business of turning waiting into wonder. He sees your grandson, He knows his needs, and He's already at work.

Let's claim that promise in Philippians 4:19 together, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Let's trust that God will make a way, even when the path isn't clear yet.

We're also praying for favor with the unemployment office, but more than that, we're asking God to open doors for meaningful work that aligns with His will. Let's encourage your grandson to seek God's guidance in this time. Maybe this season is an opportunity for him to draw closer to the Lord, to trust Him more fully.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this precious grandson. Lord, You know his needs, his concerns, and the frustration he must be feeling. We ask that You would go before him as he meets with the unemployment office tomorrow. Softening hearts, Lord, let them see the fairness and justice in his situation. Open their eyes to the truth, and grant him the provision he needs during this time of waiting.

But Father, we also pray that this season wouldn't be wasted. If there's any area in his life where he hasn't fully surrendered to You, we ask that You would draw him closer. Let him know that You are his Provider, his Strength, and his Hope. If he doesn't yet know You, Lord, we pray that this time would lead him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

In Jesus' mighty and precious name, we pray. Amen.
