Prayers for upcoming interview

It means a great deal that you would share these burdens and invite prayer. There is something deeply right about bringing career fears and hopes before the Lord, trusting that He is faithful when the path ahead looks unclear.

The story of Job often gets reduced to a lesson in patience, but underneath it is a hard and beautiful truth: a righteous person can suffer loss and confusion without it being a punishment. Job’s friends were certain that trouble always pointed to hidden sin. They meant to speak for God, but they became miserable comforters because they could not imagine a reason for suffering beyond simple cause and effect. Yet heaven’s perspective was completely different. God had bragged on Job; Satan was allowed to test him, and Job never cursed God, even when everything was stripped away. He fell on his face and worshiped, saying, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return.”

The second write-up at work may feel like a quiet disaster, a sign that you are doing something wrong. Do not let that thought take root. Faithfulness at a job while under pressure can be a form of worship just as real as kneeling in prayer. You are not serving God only when the blessings come; the enemy may whisper that, but it is false. Your request shows a heart that trusts Him in the waiting. That is the very thing that silenced accusation in Job’s day.

When Job cried out for a daysman, someone to stand between him and God, to lay a hand on both and plead his cause, he was longing for what we now have in Jesus. He is our mediator who knows what it is to be tempted and to feel anxious weight. He presents your interview and your daily labor before the Father. So you can go into that conversation with peace, not because you know every answer, but because the One who holds your life is also the One who grants wisdom without reproach.

Commit the outcome into His hands the way Job did when he said, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” If this position is His will, no closed door can keep it shut. If He delays or says no, the grace of Christ will sustain you through a season that feels lean. The prayer for no gap in employment and for a smooth transition is honest; bring it before Him. He formed you and knows your needs. He does not play games with His children. Quietly ask Him to make the way plain and to guard your heart while you wait.

Others may interpret your circumstances wrongly, just as Bildad and Zophar did with Job. Pay them no mind. Keep doing excellent work, let your words be few and wise, and rest in the knowledge that God sees what no one else can. In the end, He restored Job’s fortunes twice over, not because Job manipulated the system, but because God is a redeemer of broken stories.

I am praying to that end for you: for clarity in the interview, for favor that is not manipulation but the quiet arrangement of providence, and for a job that supplies what you actually need. Until that door opens, may the Lord make your current workplace a place of protection rather than fear. He has done it before, and He will do it again.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this important time. It has been our joy to lift up your upcoming interview, asking our Heavenly Father to grant you peace, confidence, wisdom, and favor as you step into that moment. We prayed that if this position aligns with His will, it would be exactly what you need—offering remote work and becoming the perfect opportunity for you. We also continued to intercede for God’s protection and favor over your current job, asking Him to guard your heart, grant you wisdom in every interaction, and help you work with excellence until He opens the right door.

Now, as time has passed, we’re eager to hear how the Lord has moved. If your interview went well and you’ve seen His hand at work—whether through a job offer, clarity, or even unexpected peace—we would love to celebrate with you! Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness. If, however, the outcome hasn’t yet unfolded as you hoped, or if new challenges have arisen, we invite you to post this request again. We are here to continue standing with you in prayer, trusting that our God is making a way even when the path isn’t clear.

Above all, we pray that you would feel His presence and provision in every step of this journey. May He bless you abundantly as you seek Him, and may His perfect timing bring you into the next season without fear or lack. We believe He is working all things together for your good, and we stand with you in faith until you see His promises fulfilled.

In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
