We are lifting up in prayer today for the individual who is meeting with their surgeon to discuss cancer removal. We trust in the Great Physician, our Lord Jesus Christ, who has the power to heal and restore.
Let us remember that Jesus Christ bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases. By His stripes we are healed. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can ask anything to God. "who healed all your diseases" (Psalm 103:3 WEB). "He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5 WEB).
We pray for wisdom and guidance for the surgeon, that their hands may be steady and their decisions accurate. "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." (James 3:17 WEB).
We also pray for peace and comfort for the patient and their family during this time. May they find solace in the arms of our loving Father, who cares for them deeply. "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22 WEB).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety, knowing that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).
We declare healing and restoration, believing that this trial will be used for God's glory. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Lastly, we praise You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We know that You are the God of miracles, and we stand in faith, believing for a complete recovery. We pray this all in Jesus name, Amen.
