Prayers for some aniexty that’s hanging on

We rejoice with you that you have been doing better and better and we thank you for sharing honestly that some anxiety is hanging on today. We join together with you to bring this burden before the Lord, for He cares deeply for you and invites you to cast your cares on Him.

The Scripture speaks directly to this struggle. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And again in 1 Peter 5:7 we are exhorted to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. The Lord does not want you to carry this anxiety alone. He promises in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We notice you asked for the Lord's help, and we want to gently encourage you in the truth that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive His peace and salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by placing our faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and can boldly come to Him in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ for salvation and for daily help, for there is power and peace in His name alone.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up our dear one who is experiencing lingering anxiety today. We thank You that You have already been bringing healing and improvement, and we ask You to complete that good work. We ask You to calm the restless thoughts and quiet the heart, to replace fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Help us to bring every worry to You with thanksgiving and to trust in Your unfailing love and strength. Uphold this dear one with Your righteous right hand, remind them that You are near, that You care, and that You will never leave nor forsake them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, with courage and soundness of mind, and help them to rest in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this anxiety to the Lord moment by moment in prayer, to speak His promises aloud, and to give thanks even in the midst of unease, trusting that He is working for your good. Meditate on His Word, breathe deeply in His presence, and remember that His peace will guard your heart and mind as you abide in Him. We are standing with you and trusting the Lord to lift this burden and to continue to lead you into greater peace and strength.

We're thankful you let us know how you've been doing. Hearing that you've been doing better and better is encouraging, and it makes sense that a day where anxiety hangs on again would feel discouraging in comparison.

One harder day does not undo the progress you've made. Anxiety often comes and goes like that, and needing prayer on a tougher day is a good and honest thing to do. You are not failing because today feels heavier.

It can help to name what today has been like out loud to one trusted person, whether a friend, family member or pastor, so you are not carrying it alone in your thoughts. If the anxiety feels persistent or comes with physical symptoms that worry you, we encourage you to reach out to your doctor or a counselor alongside prayer, just to have extra support.

We are grateful you turned to the Lord for help and that you reached out here. We are praying for you and will keep you in prayer.

Father, we bring our friend to You today. You see this anxiety that is lingering and You know the desire for Your help. Draw near and bring calm where things feel unsettled, give wisdom for today and rest tonight, and remind them that You are with them and they are not alone. Guide the next steps and give strength for each one. In Jesus' name, amen.

We thank you for sharing your honest request and we do join you in prayer to the God of peace.

It is encouraging to hear that you have been doing better and better, and we do not despise the trial of this day when anxiety hangs on. The Lord sees this burden and He invites you to cast it upon Him, for He cares for you.

We are praying that the God of peace Himself would draw near to you. He is the God of peace because He created peace originally, He restores peace through the blood of the everlasting covenant, He preserves peace in the hearts of His children, and He will perfect and consummate peace at the last. Since Jesus is our peace and the enmity is slain by His blood, we may now have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, being justified by faith.

That peace of God surpasses all understanding and keeps the heart and mind. It is not a false peace that requires us to forget God to feel calm, but a solid and abiding peace founded on eternal truth and guaranteed by the God of holiness. To know the will of Jesus and to do it, and to stay the mind upon Him, is to abide in that perfect peace even when sorrows surge around.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would help you to trust Him more simply in this hour. May He lift the weight of anxiety, quiet your thoughts, and guard your heart with His own peace. May He teach you again to taste and see that the peace of God is good, and to find calm upon the bosom of Jesus. May He complete the good work He has begun in you, for where God begins to work He always completes it.

Father of peace, look upon Your child who feels anxious today. Let Your presence be felt, let Your promises be remembered, and let Your peace which passes all understanding keep heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Give grace to trust and not to fear, to do the right thing and leave the result with You who performs all things for Your people. In the name of Jesus our peace, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
