We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother and her upcoming doctor’s appointment. Father God, we ask that You would go before her, guiding the hands of the medical professionals and granting them wisdom to interpret the lab results and ultrasound with clarity. Lord, we pray that no serious issues would be found, that her kidneys would function as You designed them to, and that dialysis would not be necessary. We trust in Your healing power, for You are the Great Physician who knits us together in our mother’s womb and sustains us every moment (Psalm 139:13-14).
We also take this moment to address the language of "declaring and decreeing" blessings. While we understand the desire to speak faith over circumstances, Scripture teaches us that we do not command or control God’s will, rather, we humbly submit to it. Jesus Himself prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done" (Luke 22:42). Let us remember that true faith is trusting God’s perfect plan, even when it differs from our own desires.
Father, we ask that You would grant your peace to this family as they wait for answers. Calm their fears and fill them with the assurance that You are in control. If monitoring is all that is needed, we pray for continued health and stability. If further treatment is required, we ask for strength, wisdom, and grace to walk that path. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all.
We also lift up your mother’s spiritual well-being. If she does not yet know You as her Lord and Savior, we pray that this season would draw her closer to You. Remind her that eternal life is found only in Jesus Christ, who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). May she place her trust in Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
