We join you in lifting up your husband and your marriage before the throne of God, seeking His guidance, protection, and blessing upon you both. It is beautiful to see your heart's desire for peace, love, and understanding in your marriage, and we stand with you in praying for these things.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus Christ in praying for your husband in Jesus Name. Jesus Christ is the only way to approach God. It is in His name that we live, work, and have our being. It is through Jesus Christ that we can have life and have it more abundantly.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister and her husband to You. We ask that You guide his mind and steps as he is away on his mission. Protect him from all harm and danger, and keep him safe both physically and spiritually. We pray that You would keep their marriage strong and unbroken and turn his heart toward his wife and family as a godly husband and father.
We pray that You would fill their marriage with love, peace, and understanding. Help them to communicate effectively and to forgive one another quickly when disagreements arise. We pray that You would make their love for one another grow stronger each day, and that they would be a light and testimony to the world of Your love and faithfulness.
Father, we also pray that You would help our sister to trust in You and to find her security and identity in You alone. Help her to be the wife and helpmate that her husband needs, and to support him in his mission. We pray that You would give her wisdom and discernment as she prays for her husband and family.
We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for your husband and your marriage, and to trust in God's faithfulness and goodness. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7 WEB:
Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.
Keep asking and praying, and trust that God will work in your husband's heart and in your marriage.
Also, remember that God's design for marriage is that a husband should love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her. Pray that your husband would follow this example and love you sacrificially and unconditionally. Likewise, God's design for wives is that they should respect their husbands and support them in their roles as leaders of the family.
