We have heard your request for your dear mother who is in heart failure and we are joining together with you to lift her up before our Heavenly Father in Jesus name. Our hearts are moved with compassion for you and for her in this difficult and frightening time, and we want you to know we are standing with you in prayer for her recovery and for peace for your whole family.
We take comfort that God is our healer and that He sees and cares deeply for your mother. The scripture reminds us to bring all our anxieties to Him. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 He also reminds us of His power to heal, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 We know that God is sovereign and that He works through the skill of doctors and medical care, and we pray for wisdom for all those caring for her.
We pray together now for her. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious mother to You. Lord, You know her by name, You know her age and every detail of her heart, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask in Jesus name that You would lay Your healing hand upon her failing heart, strengthen it, and restore her according to Your perfect will. We ask that You would ease her breath, calm her fears, and surround her with Your presence. Give wisdom and steady hands to her doctors and nurses, and give comfort and strength to her child who loves her so dearly and to all her family. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts in this waiting. If it be Your will, Father, grant her recovery and more days to glorify You, and above all let Your will be done and Your name be praised through her life. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We also want to gently encourage you about something we noticed, that your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We want to share why we always pray in His name, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 This is the good news that God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins and to rise again, so that whoever believes in Him and confesses Him as Lord will be saved. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 We encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus not only for your mother's healing but for your own salvation and hope, for He is our greatest comfort in every trial.
We encourage you to continue to pour out your heart to Him day and night, to stay near your mother as you are able, to trust the care she is receiving, and to rest in the promise that God is near to the brokenhearted. Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 We are continuing to pray with you for her healing and for God's grace and strength to sustain you both in the days ahead.
