My husband and I have been married for ### years and ### years ago he had to take custody of his older brother ### that fried his own brain on pcp in ### it has been the worst ### years of my life, ### lies, he steals from us, he has killed one of our cats, he can't and won't clean up after himself he can't and won't wash his hands no matter where he puts them, he expects me as the only woman in the house to do everything,### knows exactly what he's doing, everything he gets asked to do he half a****, and it's not because he fried his own brain on pcp it's because he is a ### year old man that thinks that the world revolves around him and owes him, their whole family uses that excuse oh he fried his own brain on pcp it's all good whatever he does, their family won't even take ### for ### weeks because they don't want to go through ###'s daily disrespecting living Hell, well after ###+ years of ###'s daily disrespecting living Hell and my husband standing by this pos instead of his wife, I am DONE, my husband can go through ###'s daily disrespecting living Hell all by himself and know that the rest of their family ain't found to do anything to help with this daily disrespecting living Hell that knows exactly what he's doing and doesn't care anything about anyone else but himself, their whole family all believe that everything is everyone else's fault and everyone else's responsibility, hear their family tell it them people who invited ### to smoke that pcp tied his hands behind his back and held a firearm to his head and made him smoke it. Please pray for me and my cats for our new life without my husband's brother's daily disrespecting living Hell and please pray for my husband ### that he would see that he didn't stand by his wife or God or the Bible when he chose to stand by his spoiled rotten lazy, nasty, lying, thieving daily disrespecting living Hell and not his wife of ### years

We hear your deep pain and exhaustion after these difficult years, and we grieve with you over what you and your husband and your household have endured. To live daily with lying, stealing, willful uncleanliness, disrespect, and even the loss of a beloved cat is a heavy burden, and the Lord sees your tears and your weariness. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We join you in bringing this before the throne of grace.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find true hope and new life. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and seek a truly new life.

We want to speak truth in love about marriage, because your pain has led you to say you are done with your husband and want a new life without him. We understand the feeling of being abandoned when your husband stood by his brother instead of standing by you. Scripture is very clear that marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and that a husband is called to leave his father and mother and cling to his wife. Genesis 2:24 says Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. Ephesians 5:25 says Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. 1 Peter 3:7 says You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. Your husband has failed in this God given duty to protect, honor, and prioritize you as his wife, and to provide a safe and peaceful home. He is also called to not enable his brother in sin and laziness. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says For even when we were with you, we commanded you this, If anyone will not work, neither let him eat. Galatians 6:5 says For each man will bear his own burden. Making excuses for willful sin and refusing to require accountability does not help his brother, it harms him and it harms your marriage.

At the same time, we must lovingly rebuke the bitterness and contempt that has taken root in your heart, as understandable as it is. You have endured much, but harboring hatred and calling your husband's brother with degrading language and desiring to see your husband suffer as you have will only poison your own soul. Ephesians 4:31 says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. Hebrews 12:15 warns to watch carefully that no root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled. Ephesians 4:32 says And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. This does not mean you must accept abuse, theft, or danger in your home, and it does not mean forgiveness removes consequences or boundaries, but it does mean releasing vengeance to God. Romans 12:19 says Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord.

God hates divorce, Malachi 2:16, and Mark 10:9 says What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. 1 Corinthians 7:10 says But to the married I command, not I, but the Lord, that the wife not leave her husband. We strongly encourage you not to make a final decision to end your marriage out of anger and exhaustion without first seeking godly counsel, pastoral intervention, and clear boundaries. The biblical path is not simply to walk away, but to seek separation of the destructive situation from the marriage if needed, while working toward restoration where possible. Your husband's brother is not your responsibility to house indefinitely, especially when he is dangerous and unwilling to change. It is right and necessary to require that he be placed in more appropriate care, whether that is other family taking turns, a group home, or other assisted living, rather than continuing to destroy your home and your safety. Your love for your cats also matters to God, Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal.

We encourage you to seek your pastor and elders immediately, to bring your husband with you, to set firm biblical boundaries, and to seek wise counsel about guardianship responsibilities and safety. If you are in danger, please seek a safe place with help from your church family while you pursue reconciliation and accountability.

We pray together now for you, your cats, your husband, and even his brother.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this dear sister who is weary and wounded. Lord, You see the years of disrespect, deceit, theft, and defilement she has endured, and the grief over her cat and the loneliness of feeling not chosen by her own husband. We ask You to comfort her broken heart and give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7. Guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus and help her to release bitterness and to forgive as You have forgiven us, while also giving her wisdom and courage to set righteous boundaries. Provide for her and her cats a safe, clean, and peaceful home, and lead her to a new life that is first and foremost new life in Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17. We pray for her husband, that You would open his eyes to see that he has not loved his wife as Christ loves the church and has not led his home well. Convict him, humble him, and draw him to repentance, that he would honor his wife, protect his household, and stop enabling his brother's sin. We pray for his brother, that You would bring him to repentance, to take responsibility for his choices, and to find deliverance and transformation only found in Jesus, and that You would place him where he can receive proper care and discipline. We pray for the extended family, that they would stop making excuses and each bear their share of responsibility. Lord, restore what has been broken where it is Your will, redeem this marriage, and let Your will be done in this home. We ask for godly counselors and a church family to surround this wife and husband and to speak truth and give practical help. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, Amen.

We hear how worn down you are after years of carrying so much in your own home. Being expected to do everything, dealing with stealing and disrespect every day, and grieving a beloved cat while feeling unsupported by your husband and his family would leave anyone feeling done and deeply hurt. It makes sense you are longing for peace and safety for you and your cats.

We are praying for that new chapter to be a steadier, safer one. One practical step that has helped others in a long season like this is to get a couple of steady, in person supports around you as you make decisions. A trusted pastor or Christian counselor and one wise, practical friend or advocate who can help you think through housing, finances, important papers, and a safe plan for you and your cats. If you have not already, it can also help to get clear legal information about next steps so you are not carrying those questions alone.

You deserve to be treated with care and respect in your own home, and we want you to have space to heal at your own pace.

Father, we lift this sister and her cats to You. Give her safety, clear wisdom for each next decision, and people nearby who will walk with her faithfully. Bring healing from these hard years and guide her husband toward truth and responsibility. Lead her in Your way, one step at a time. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your sorrow has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard the weight of these long years of burden in your household. To bear daily disrespect, dishonesty, theft, uncleanness and even cruelty within your own home, and to feel forsaken by those who should have helped to bear the load, is a wound that cuts deeply into the heart. We do not take lightly the pain you have described, nor the weariness that has brought you to say you are done.

There is a healing that comes only from Christ, and it is to Him we would point you. Scripture speaks of the Tree of Life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and our Lord Jesus is that Tree. His leaves, even the least touches of His grace, have power to heal the broken in heart and to change the very lifeblood of the soul. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon a house, pardon and healing come together, for He says to the palsied soul, thy sins are forgiven thee, and with that forgiveness comes a new life which can conquer distempers that would otherwise be fatal. You have need of that healing now, not only for the wounds inflicted by others, but for the sustaining of your own spirit, that you may not be consumed by bitterness while you rightly grieve over sin.

Concerning your marriage, we hold before you what the Word of God holds forth as holy and enduring, that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that a man shall leave father and mother and shall cleave unto his wife. It is not right that a wife should be left to bear alone what should be borne together, nor that the vow before God should be set aside for the claims of extended family. Neither is it right to excuse ongoing sin by pointing to former sin, as though what a man once chose to do with his body now excuses what he daily chooses to do with his soul. Each man must give account for his own deeds, and love does not call evil good. Your husband bears a responsibility before God to cherish and protect his wife, to order his household with justice and cleanliness and truth, and to seek wise and godly counsel for the care of his brother in a way that does not destroy his home.

We will pray for you, and we do pray now. We pray that the Lord will be your refuge and your physician, that He will spread His healing leaves over your heart and grant you pardon, peace and renewed strength. We pray for the safety and care of your household, including the creatures entrusted to you, for the Lord cares for all His works. We pray for your husband, that the Lord would open his eyes to see his duty before God and to his wife, that he would love you as Christ loves the church and would seek wisdom beyond his own strength. We pray for his brother, that God would bring him to repentance, to a sound mind and to a willingness to be accountable, and that those who have excused his wrongdoing would no longer do so. We pray not for the blessing of a divided home, but for the healing of it, whether that healing requires godly boundaries, the help of your church family, and a different and more fitting provision for the care of one who cannot or will not live peaceably under your roof.

We urge you, for the sake of your soul and your vows, to seek at once the counsel of a faithful pastor and mature believers who can know you, hear you fully, and walk with you in wisdom. Do not walk this path alone. Bring the whole matter into the light, seek protection where protection is needed, and seek reconciliation where reconciliation is possible, all under the Word of God. The Lord who heals the broken in heart is able to lift you up and to make you to serve Him again with joy, for when He takes us by the hand and lifts us up, we are made whole to minister in His name.

May the Lord grant you that new life which is indeed new, not merely a change of place but a renewal of heart through forgiveness and healing in Christ, and may He keep you in perpetual health by His grace until the glory life begins.

Praying for you and your situation. Doesn’t sound like his brain is too fried since he’s able to manipulate and take advantage of others. Your husband needs to gain wisdom and see the situation as it really is - Your husband is enabling his brother’s behavior and this should NOT be tolerated. He definitely should not allow you to be treated in ANY negative manner as that in itself is completely unacceptable. His brother needs to be on his way; he is interfering in your marriage. May God open your husband’s eyes and intervene in this inexcusable situation. Prayers in the name of Jesus.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
