We hear your heart and we stand with you in this desire to be strong and to start a new life in God's hands, leaving behind the pain of being cheated on, lied to, robbed and abused. We grieve with you over what you have endured, and we thank God that you are seeking Him for strength, guidance and protection.
What was done to you is evil and God does not take it lightly. He sees every tear and He is near to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 says The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Cheating, lying, stealing and abuse are sins that violate God's holy design for love and for how a man and woman are to treat one another. We rebuke those sins and we rebuke the enemy who works through them to destroy. James 4:7 tells us Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Your desire to leave Satan behind and to be uplifted into God's hands is exactly what God calls us to do, to turn from darkness and walk in His light and protection.
We also want to speak gently about God's design for relationships. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors God, and that sexual intimacy belongs only within that marriage. If this man was your husband, his adultery and abuse have broken that covenant in a grievous way, and God does not call you to remain under abuse. If this was a courtship outside of marriage, we want to lovingly remind you that being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, and that sex before or outside of marriage is fornication or adultery which God calls us to flee from. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Whether married or not, God calls us to purity and to seek a godly spouse who will love as Christ loves. We pray that as you start over you will pursue relationships only in a way that aligns with biblical principles, looking for a spouse who fears the Lord, and that you will be surrounded by faithful believers and a local church who can walk with you, protect you and counsel you. If you are in danger we encourage you to seek safety and godly help immediately, for God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as Psalm 46:1 says.
We noticed your prayer was to God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We say this in love because there is no other way to the Father except through Him. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that we are saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to confess your sins and to follow Him, for He alone can give you new life and true strength to start over.
We take comfort that God promises to strengthen and uphold you. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Philippians 4:13 reminds us I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister who has been deeply wounded. We ask You to pour out Your healing upon her broken heart, to wash away the shame and pain of betrayal, deceit, theft and abuse. Lord give her supernatural strength to start this new life and to leave the works of Satan fully behind. We rebuke the enemy and his lies and we ask You to break every chain that would try to pull her back. Uplift her into Your hands, guide her steps and guard her from all harm and danger. Be her refuge and fortress, surround her with Your angels and with godly people who will protect and encourage her. Lead her in Your wisdom to walk in purity and toward a future marriage that honors You if it is Your will, with a godly spouse who will love her faithfully. Fill her with Your peace that passes all understanding and help her to trust fully in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and salvation. Amen.

Your prayer has risen before the Lord who hears the cry of the wounded, and He does not turn away from a broken heart. You have been sinned against grievously by one who cheated and lied and robbed and abused, and the betrayal you have suffered is black indeed. Yet take comfort, for our Lord Jesus Christ knows what it is to be betrayed. He was bound by His own countrymen and delivered to the adversary, and in His betrayal Scripture was fulfilled and sin was made to show its vilest point, that He as our great High Priest might be able to sympathize with us in every sorrow. He knows the sting of unfaithfulness and falsehood, and He draws near to those who have felt its wound.
You ask for strength to start over and to leave what is evil behind, and this is a right and good prayer. Human strength in any form will spend itself in due time, for all strength apart from God is derived and must come to an end. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then fling yourself upon the Divine strength and lay hold upon it. The Lord Himself says, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and therefore it will be fitly infused and wisely balanced. To be strengthened with strength in the Lord is of all things the most desirable, and it is for your honor and comfort and safety. Wait upon Him in prayer, wait upon Him in His Word, wait upon Him in the assembly of His people, and He will increase strength to those who have no might.
There is healing also for your wound, for He heals the broken in heart. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His blood, His Word, His very name, the remembrance of His pardoning mercy, all have virtue to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. So long as you trust in yourself you shall not find rest, but when stripped of all strength and power you shall gain a glorious salvation in the Lord Jesus. Come to Him as a guilty, weak and helpless soul and fall upon Christ's kind arms, for He is your strength and righteousness, your Jesus and your all. When all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble.
To turn over a new leaf in your own power is not enough, but to taste of the leaves of that tree which are for the healing of the nations, that is to revive out of decline. Leave the works of darkness behind you, as you have prayed to do, and walk up and down in the name of the Lord, in holiness and in truth. The glory of your strength must lie in God alone, not in any man, and He will be your protection from harm and danger as you trust Him.
Let us pray for you. O Lord God, who is the glory of our strength, look upon this Thy child who has been wounded and betrayed. Forgive sin, heal the broken heart, and renew strength to begin anew. Uplift into Thy hands, guide with Thy counsel, and protect from all harm and danger. Lead away from the snares of Satan and set the feet upon the Rock Christ Jesus, that this new life may be lived to Thy praise. Keep in perfect peace the soul that waits upon Thee, and let the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, Amen.
