Prayers For My Father.

Beloved of All
Alcoholism is an illness, one the body cannot fight to overcome, but only the strongest of minds. It takes losing everything, and then unrelenting strength, determination and the unconditional love of others to get through these moments in life. Right now, we need a village.

My father was the most amazing dad. He was the hardest worker i had ever seen, worked every day never taking time off, dressed to perfection and loved life. He was also my Peter Pan, the dad everyone else wished they had, who would let us bounce bouncy balls from two stories up in a mall, take us fishing, body boarding & bike riding. He carved our name into a cave at the beach, let us shift gears while he was driving, encouraged us to get golden tickets in our back pockets (university degrees) so we could do anything we wanted in the world, keep bad doors closed, always walk in the light- and most importantly to feel the fear, and do it anyway. My dad Lived.

Around six years ago, the man I had never seen take a sip of alcohol in my life took that taste of poison and did not stop. The man with a heart made of gold and love spiraled down a slippery slope with nothing to grasp until he was left with nothing. The life he showed us how to so colorfully navigate and enjoy in goodness and laughter no longer existed. We lost the inspiring father we were so lucky to have grown up with.

We are trying to pick up the pieces and do not know how. The cost of rehabilitation is more than we (or probably most people) can afford at home. All I ask of you or anyone that has time is that you - for even two seconds, pray for my amazing father, to bring back the man he was - and in Jesus name - will be again.

I've prayed for you in Jesus' holy name...prayer changes things!

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.†{NIV, Matthew 18: 19-20}

God, our help and assistance, who is just and merciful, and who hears the prayers of your people; look down upon me. a miserable sinner, have mercy upon me, and deliver me from the troubles that torment me, even though I might deserve them. Grant me, I pray, your divine helping grace; endow me with patience and strength to endure my tribulations with complete submission to your will. You know my misery and suffering and to you, my only hope and refuge, I flee for relief and comfort; trusting your infinite love and compassion, that in due time, when you know it is for the best, you will deliver me from my troubles, and turn my distress into comfort, and I will rejoice in your mercy, and exalt and praise your Holy Name, O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, In Jesus Name Amen

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name that You will always and forever honor this prayer over the lives of all those I love, care about (including myself), and the writer of this prayer. Bless each of us to prosper, be in excellent health, and bless our soul to prosper spirituality. Heal and make us whole in You. Keep us safe from all evil, hurt, harm, and danger. Do in us what You need to do, and do for us what You want to do. Let Your favor, strength, wisdom, peace, and protection rest upon our lives. Bless us to live a full abundant life in Christ Jesus. God anoint and use each of us the way You want for Your glory. And God bless each of us with the desires of our heart that is the will of God for each of our lives. Amen, so be it, and it is so in Jesus’ name. ♡♡♡ Be Encouraged & Happy New Year.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
