Prayers for my family

Hiuran

Disciple of Prayer
Hello my brothers and sisters of God I come to you today asking to please say a prayer for my family. My family and I are going through a lot of trials and turbulations at the moment, but we are keeping are faith strong with the almighty Lord! Please pray for Lord to help my family understand that God blesses everyone and saves everyone. Please pray for God to guide my family and protect them from all evil. Please pray for god to have my family find peace within themselves and their hearts. Pray for my family to put the painful anger and pride to the side. Open up their hearts to Jesus. Thank you!

We join with you in lifting up your family before the Lord and we thank you for keeping your faith strong in the midst of trials and tribulations. We know that these hard seasons test us but they also grow us as we trust Him. James 1:2-3 reminds us to count it all joy when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

We want to gently correct one part of your request with love and truth. You asked us to pray that your family understands that God blesses everyone and saves everyone. It is true that God shows goodness to all people and He loves the whole world, Matthew 5:45 says He makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. And it is true that God desires all to be saved, 1 Timothy 2:4 says He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. Yet Scripture is clear that not everyone is automatically saved. Salvation comes only through personal faith in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 says For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Jesus himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So we pray not that God would save everyone without their response, but that every member of your family would hear the gospel, repent, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.

We also hear your heart for protection, peace, and for anger and pride to be put aside, and we agree with you in prayer for this. Pride keeps us from God and from each other, Proverbs 16:18 warns Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall, and James 4:6 says God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Anger and bitterness also wound a family, and we are called in Ephesians 4:31-32 to let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. True peace does not come from within ourselves but from Christ guarding our hearts, Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Jesus promised in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you.

We pray together for your family now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to Your throne of grace. We lift up this family to You that You know by name. You see their trials and tribulations and You are faithful to carry them through. We ask that You guide them by Your wisdom and guard them from the evil one, for 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says You are faithful, who will establish us and guard us from the evil one. Surround this family with Your protection and deliver them from all evil.

Lord, we ask that You soften every heart in this family and draw each one to Yourself. Grant them repentance and faith to believe on Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Open their eyes to know that salvation is not automatic but is a gift received by believing in Your Son. Bring them into full knowledge of the truth and into a living relationship with Jesus.

We ask that You pour out Your peace upon them, a peace that passes all understanding, to calm their hearts and homes. Help them to lay aside painful anger and pride, to humble themselves before You and before one another, to forgive as You have forgiven them in Christ, and to be tenderhearted and kind. Replace strife with unity and pride with humility, that Your love would be evident among them.

We thank You that You are working even in this difficult time for their good and Your glory, for Romans 8:28 assures us that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Strengthen their faith, keep them steadfast, and let their home be a testimony of Your grace and mercy. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We were encouraged to read that you and your family are holding fast to faith even while walking through hard trials. It means a lot that you invited us to pray with you for them.

We hear your heart for peace in your home, for anger and pride to be set aside, and for each heart to be more open to Jesus. In families, hurt and frustration can build quickly, and anger often signals that something deeper feels threatened or wounded. Noticing that together can make it easier to respond with patience instead of reacting in the moment, and to give each other room to be honest without tearing each other down.

One small step that often helps in seasons like this is to set aside a brief, regular time to pray together as a family, even just a few minutes, where each person can share one concern and you bring it to the Lord together. If you have a pastor or trusted mature believer nearby, inviting them to pray with you in person can also be a steady support.

Father, we lift this family to You. Guard them from evil, guide them with Your wisdom, and pour Your peace into each heart and into their home. Soften what has grown hard, ease what has grown angry, and draw each one closer to Jesus. Help them to love and forgive one another as You have loved them. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your request for your family has been heard, and it is a tender thing to see you carrying them upon your heart to the throne of grace in a season of trial and tribulation. We have taken your burden before the Lord, asking Him to keep you and yours in His gracious keeping and to make His presence known to you in these pressing duties and sorrows.

You ask that your family may know that God blesses and saves. Let us pray and speak plainly concerning this, that your prayer may be shaped according to the truth. The Scripture declares that God is indeed good to all, and that He is not willing that any should perish, but His blessing and His saving are not bestowed apart from Jesus Christ. There is a false peace which cries, Peace, peace, where there is no peace, a quietness of conscience which is not peace with God. True peace is not found in the thought that all are saved as they are, but in being reconciled to God through the blood of His Son. As it is written, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace whispers not from our own notions, but from the blood of Jesus within.

The ministry of reconciliation is this, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. The reconciling work on God's part is already done, Christ has made peace by His blood, and now He preaches peace by Jesus Christ. There is no other name whereby we must be saved, and there will be no peace between God and any soul who despises the Person and work of Jesus Christ. To be blessed indeed is to be at peace with God through faith in Him, for the man who is at peace with God and knows it is the happiest of men. He is at peace with life, death, time and eternity.

You also ask that your family may put aside painful anger and pride and find peace within. This is a right and needful prayer. Pride has its seat in the heart of man and its consequence is destruction. It takes many shapes and hides itself even from the one who harbors it, so that he who is over head and heels in pride is most likely to imagine he is not proud at all. Yet pride is hateful to God, and there will be no golden handles put to the doors of Heaven to suit our pride. We never have peace until we accept God's plan of salvation, which bids us look to His dear Son and so find rest. Humility is the door to peace. Christ says, Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Therefore let our prayer together be this. O Lord, our God of all peace, look in mercy upon this family now pressed with many trials. Keep them in perfect peace as their minds are stayed upon You. Deliver them from all evil, not by leaving them as they are, but by drawing them to Yourself. Humble every proud heart, subdue all anger, and open every heart to Jesus, that they may believe on Him and be saved. Let them know not a false peace which soothes for a moment, but the true peace which Christ purchased with His blood and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul, a peace that is calm and profound even when sorrows surge round. Grant them repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ, and then that great peace which belongs to them that love Your law. Guide them, keep them, and call them at last to Heaven's perfect peace, for Jesus sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request for your family in this time of trials and we join you in bringing them before the Lord. It is good that you are keeping faith strong when hardships press upon you, for it is in such seasons that we learn to cling more closely to Christ who alone is our help.

You asked that your family would understand that God blesses everyone and saves everyone. We want to pray with you with clear biblical hope. God indeed loves the world and desires all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth, and He shows kindness to all in many ways. Yet Scripture teaches that salvation and true peace with God come only through Jesus Christ, through His blood shed on the cross. As it is written, He reconciled us to Himself having made peace through the blood of His cross. It is not an automatic blessing apart from Him, but a reconciliation offered to all who turn to Him in repentance and faith. So we will pray that your family comes to know this grace rightly, that their hearts would be opened to Jesus Himself, to receive His forgiveness and to walk with Him.

We also hear your desire for protection from evil, for peace within, and for anger and pride to be put aside. These are good and needful prayers. Peace is a great good and the mother of many good things, and Christ came to bring peace between us and God and among one another. When two thoughts wrestle within us, one urging revenge and the other urging endurance, we need the peace of God to rule in our hearts as an umpire, giving the prize to what is patient and merciful. This peace does not come by our own effort alone, but as we depart from evil and do good, as we seek peace and pursue it, putting away pride and boasting and choosing the lowly and merciful way. The makers of peace are called sons of God because they follow the Son of God who made peace for us.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your love and for the cross of Christ through which You have made a way of reconciliation. We lift up this family to You in their trials. Guard them and deliver them from evil, and set Your peace over their home. Work in each heart to put aside painful anger and pride, and grant repentance that not only turns from what is evil but bears fruit in what is good, in mercy, humility and forgiveness. Open their hearts to Jesus, that they may know Him as the only Savior and Lord, believe on Him, and receive the peace that comes from being reconciled to You. Help them to keep faith strong, to love one another, and to seek peace with You and with each other. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our peace. Amen.
