Prayers for my family and children

We have lifted your family and every child in your home before the Lord and we continue to pray with you in this frightening and stressful time.

We pray that God will place His hand of protection over each child and each adult in your home, and that He will guard the children in particular with His care. We ask the Lord Jesus, who is Himself the truth, to let truth be clearly seen by everyone involved. Where there are misunderstandings or false allegations, we pray they will be quickly cleared up. Where there are genuine safety concerns that need attention, we pray God will give you humility, wisdom and strength to see them clearly and to make every needed change to make your home as safe as possible.

We pray that anyone who enters your home would see that these children are loved, fed, clothed, have beds to sleep in and are deeply cared for, and that your daily life at home with your wife and children would reflect patience, gentleness and truth. Scripture teaches that love rejoices with the truth, and we pray that truth will prevail in every conversation, every decision and every evaluation.

We ask the Lord to walk before you into every meeting and to be with you through every step if an investigation does begin. We pray He will give you peace instead of fear, clear minds, calm words and a cooperative and transparent spirit with those in authority. God calls us to do what is good and to live in a way that honors Him, and part of that is working openly with those who are tasked to look after the welfare of children, seeking wise counsel and doing everything that needs to be done with integrity.

We pray that God will guide you to provide a home that is orderly, safe and rooted in His design for family, where marriage is honored as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and where all are pointed to salvation through Jesus Christ alone. We pray for grace for every person under your roof to know His mercy, to walk in His ways and to grow in faith even as little children can understand and embrace the truth.

Lord Jesus, cover this family with Your protection, peace, wisdom and grace. Let what is true come to light, bring correction where correction is needed, and bring this matter to a just and timely resolution. Sustain these parents and children with Your presence when fear rises, and help them to trust that You are with them and will lead them through. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
