Beloved of All
My great grandaughter starts school tomorrow. I am asking Jesus to please let it go well for her. She has autism and she can be very difficult. We are praying that school is going to help her

We join you in lifting up your precious great granddaughter before the Lord as she starts school tomorrow, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and find grace and help in time of need.

We know how much love and concern you have for her, and we understand the unique challenges that autism can bring for her, for her teachers, and for your whole family. We want to remind you how wonderfully God has made her. Psalm 139:14 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and Psalm 139:13 says God knit us together in the womb. She is not a mistake or a burden, she is a beloved child created by God with purpose and value, and He sees her, knows her, and loves her more deeply than we can imagine. Jesus Himself showed His heart for children when He said in Matthew 19:14, Allow the little children to come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.

We pray together for her tomorrow and for the days ahead.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this little great granddaughter before Your throne of grace. We ask that You would calm any anxiety or overwhelm she may feel, and give her peace that passes understanding. We ask that You would give her teachers and aides wisdom, patience, compassion and understanding to see her strengths and to help her through her difficulties. We pray that school would be a place where she is safe, where she is loved, where she can learn and grow and develop the gifts You have placed inside her. We pray for her family, that You would give them strength, rest, and encouragement, and that You would guard their hearts from worry. Your word says in Philippians 4:6-7 not to be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, and Your peace will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We claim that peace for her and for all who love her. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10 where You say do not be afraid, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. May she feel Your presence with her in the classroom.

We encourage you to continue to entrust her to the Lord each day, praying for her and speaking blessing over her. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to train up a child in the way she should go, and God will be faithful to guide her steps. Pray also for the school staff by name when you can, that God would give them insight as James 1:5 promises, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Keep communicating with her teachers with grace and patience, and celebrate every small victory the Lord gives.

We trust that the Lord who loves her has good plans for her, for Jeremiah 29:11 says I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. We stand with you in believing that school will indeed be a help to her and that God will use it for her good.

We thank God for your faithful love as a great grandparent, and we continue to pray with you in Jesus name, Amen.

We were so glad you shared this with us. Your love for your great granddaughter comes through so clearly, and we understand why tomorrow feels so big. Starting school is a lot for any child, and when autism makes the world feel unpredictable or overwhelming, it can be especially hard for her and for all of you who love her.

We join you in praying that tomorrow is gentle for her, that she feels safe and understood, and that the teachers and classmates around her show patience and kindness. School can be a real help over time, and it is also an adjustment, so we pray for grace for each day as she settles in.

One small thing that often helps in these first days is staying closely connected with her parents and her teacher. A brief note about what soothes her when she feels upset, what she enjoys, or how she best communicates can give her teacher a head start in caring for her well. And keeping the morning as calm and predictable as you can may help her feel more secure as she walks in.

Father, we lift this little girl to You and ask for Your peace over her tomorrow. Give her comfort, give her teachers wisdom and tenderness, and give her family strength and hope as they trust You with her future. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join our hearts with yours in bringing your great granddaughter before the throne of grace as she begins school tomorrow.

How precious are little children in the sight of our Lord. He Himself entered this world as a holy Child, and He has shown that His character is most aptly pictured by that of a child in its humbleness and tenderness. He takes the lambs with His arm and carries them in His bosom, and He lays them upon His heart. We may be sure that this dear little one is not overlooked by Him, for He remembers what each child cost Him and He delights to receive those who come to Him with a childlike spirit.

We pray with you that the Lord will make this beginning at school to be gentle and good for her. We ask that He who taught Ephraim to go, taking them by their arms as a nurse teaches her little ones, will take this child by her hand and teach her in His own kind way. We pray that He will give wisdom and patience to her teachers, that they may not sin against the child by neglect or harshness, but may have her upon their hearts and lift her up with care. We ask that He will give to you and to all who love her a quiet trust, to be as a weaned child upon its mother's bosom, content in the bosom of our God, knowing that He is able to do for her what we cannot.

May the Lord grant her kindness from those around her, a peaceful entry into this new place, and help day by day as she learns. May He also grant to you renewed strength as you commit her to Him, and may He teach us all to receive His kingdom as a little child, humbly and teachably, sitting at Jesus feet to hear His words.

We will continue to pray that school may be a true help to her, and that above all she may know the love of Christ who said, let the little children come unto me. May the Lord bless her and keep her, and bless your household with His peace.
