Prayers to help me understand why god doesn’t hear my prayers of a realitic dream that I have always wanted . Also I am praying for financial help . I am praying god give me business knowledge to grow. Maybe god has other plans but how do you know what you need to be doing . I do not feel like being a teacher is what god called me to do … how do I know

We join you in bringing this heartfelt cry before the Lord and we understand how heavy it feels when it seems your prayers are not being heard and when you are questioning your purpose and direction.

We want to gently share an important truth we noticed in your request. You speak of God but you do not mention the name of Jesus, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and assurance that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are reminded there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in His name. When we pray in Jesus name we come not on our own merit but on His. In Romans 10:9 it says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. This is the foundation for knowing God hears us.

The feeling that God does not hear your prayers is painful, but Scripture assures us that He does hear the prayers of His children when we come to Him through Christ. In 1 John 5:14 we read that this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. Sometimes what we experience as silence is God answering differently than we expect, or calling us to wait, or revealing that our motives need refining. Psalm 66:18 says if I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened, and in James 4:3 we learn you ask, and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures. We encourage you to ask the Lord to search your heart, to confess any known sin, and to align your dream with His will rather than only your own desire. God is not ignoring you, His thoughts and ways are higher than ours as Isaiah 55:8-9 teaches, and He often works in ways we cannot yet see.

You ask about a realistic dream you have always wanted, about financial help and business knowledge, and whether being a teacher is what God has called you to do. We pray with you for clear understanding and wisdom. James 1:5 promises if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Psalm 32:8 says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.

We encourage you not to despise the place where God has you now. Even if teaching does not feel like your lifelong calling, Colossians 3:23 teaches Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. God can use your current work to provide, to shape your character, and to open doors while you seek Him about the future. At the same time, it is good to seek business knowledge and to be a faithful steward. Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We encourage you to commit your business ideas to the Lord, to seek godly counsel from mature believers, to study diligently, to work with integrity, and to test whether your gifts and opportunities align with an open door from Him. Romans 12:2 urges us not to be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Knowing His will comes through consistent prayer in Jesus name, reading His word daily, obedience in small things, and peace that comes as we present our requests to Him as described in Philippians 4:6-7.

For your financial need, we remember Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Matthew 6:33, But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. God cares about your needs and He honors diligence and honesty in our work.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and grace upon this dear one. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself clearly and give a deep assurance that You do hear prayers offered through Your Son. Forgive any sin that may hinder fellowship and cleanse this heart. Grant clear understanding, wisdom and discernment about the dream that has been carried for so long, and show whether it is from You and in Your timing. If it is Your will, make a way, and if not, give peace to release it and embrace Your better plan. Provide for financial needs according to Your riches and give business knowledge, understanding and stewardship to grow what is entrusted. Guide concerning the calling as a teacher, whether to remain, to be equipped further, or to step into a new assignment. Lead step by step, open and close doors, and let Your will be done. Help this dear one to trust You fully, to seek first Your kingdom, and to find rest in Your perfect love and direction. We ask all this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer, to stay rooted in Scripture, to seek counsel from faithful believers around you, and to be faithful where you are while God makes your next steps clear. He is faithful to guide those who seek Him with a whole heart.

That sense of not being heard is so discouraging, and wrestling with calling can leave you feeling stuck between what you hoped for and what is in front of you now. We are praying with you for clarity and for peace as you seek next steps.

One thing that has helped others in this kind of crossroads is to step back and look at calling more broadly than just a feeling in the moment. It can help to consider together your interests, talents, values and skills, and how God might use them in a vocation, along with what you believe about how He guides. Some people look for one specific life plan confirmed by inner peace, others find guidance through steady study, careful reasoning, an honest look at their giftedness, and the counsel of wise people who know them well, and others understand guidance as growing in maturity with God while faithfully loving Him wherever they are.

A practical step that may help is to invite two or three trusted people who know you well - perhaps a pastor, a mentor, or someone with business experience - to reflect with you on where they see your strengths and where there is fruit or open doors, and where there is strain. Hearing their perspective alongside your own prayer and reflection often brings clearer direction than trying to sort it all alone. For the financial and business questions, a conversation with a trusted financial professional or a church business leader can also be a steady support alongside prayer.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask You to draw near and make Your presence known. Give clear wisdom for work and provision, and gentle guidance for each decision ahead. Help him to see his gifts clearly and to walk in the way You are leading, trusting that You hear and care. In Jesus' name, amen.

You have poured out an honest heart before the Lord, and He does not despise such plain speaking. To feel that your prayers are not heard, to carry a long cherished hope that seems unanswered, to wonder about provision and daily work and calling, these are burdens that have pressed many of God's people before you.

Be settled first on this truth, that unanswered petitions are not unheard. God keeps a file for the prayers of His people, they are treasured in the King's archives and recorded in the court of Heaven. Brethren must not take delays in prayer for denial, for God's long dated bills will be punctually honored. Even our Lord cried, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me, and yet He could say in the same breath, But You are holy. Settle that in your mind before any other reason. The Lord is holy and wise and tender, and He hears the sincere prayer even when it seems feeble to us, for the feeblest sincere cry is always acceptable to Him.

Scripture gives us some searching reasons why an answer may tarry. At times it is a Fatherly chastisement or admonition, to show us sin harbored or to keep us from sin. At times there may be sin even mingled with the prayer itself, when we ask with a divided heart or for ends that would not glorify Him. And at times the Lord withholds the immediate answer to strengthen you, as exercise strengthens muscle and sinew, that you may be more finely useful in the future. He is not unkind in the waiting. He is making you able to bear the blessing when it comes, and to bear much fruit for Him.

You ask for financial help and for business knowledge to grow. It is right to ask God for wisdom and for daily bread, and to ask Him to establish the work of your hands. Yet remember that prayer is to be followed by effort. As it is written, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Add force to your petitions with diligence, honesty, and faithful stewardship in little things. Continue much in prayer, not with cold forms or icicles upon the lips, but with fervent, earnest pleading, for the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. And while you pray for increase, remember that the wealth of God's people lies mostly in promises to pay, promises which God has made to His own and which He will keep in His own time and way.

You ask how to know what you are to be doing, and whether teaching is what God has called you to do. The Scriptures speak of our calling as a holy calling, a high calling, and a heavenly calling. Examine your calling by these marks. Is it a holy calling, has God saved you and set you apart to live unto Him in Christ Jesus, so that your first aim is holiness and not merely success. Is it a high calling, does it lift your heart to heavenly things and press you forward toward Christ, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth to those before. Is it a heavenly calling, can you trace the hand and voice of God in it, and not merely the pressure of circumstances or the opinions of men. A true calling from God will draw you nearer to Christ and make you more like Him where you are.

That may mean that for a season your very place of questioning, even the classroom where you now labor, is God's school for you. David could say, O God, You have taught me from my youth, and until this time have I declared Your wondrous works. God teaches His pupils often by keeping them in a place they would not have chosen, that they may learn His wondrous works and then declare them. Do not despise the place where He has set you while you seek Him for what is next. Be faithful in the work at hand, seek counsel from wise and godly men and women who know you, open the Word daily and watch for His guidance there, and bring your desires again and again to Him with humility, as Jacob did when he spread his case before the Lord and pleaded with arguments drawn from God's own promises. Jacob's prayer was heard, but it was not answered in the way he expected, and so it may be with you. The Lord may answer your realistic dream by granting it, or by reshaping it, or by giving you a better thing that you cannot yet see.

May the Lord give you clear understanding as you wait upon Him. May He search your heart and cleanse any sin that hinders prayer, and grant you repentance and faith to rest wholly upon the blood of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other ground upon which our prayers are heard. May He grant you wisdom for business and provision for need according to His riches, and may He make your calling sure by drawing you close to Christ, so that whether you remain in teaching or are led elsewhere, you may know you are walking in the way He has appointed, for His glory and your good.

Your questions come from an honest heart that wants to walk faithfully with God, and that desire itself is something to thank Him for. The feeling that God does not hear your prayers is painful, but Scripture teaches that He does hear. As Christ said before raising Lazarus, I knew that Thou hearest Me always, and He took the form of prayer not because the Father was deaf to Him but for the sake of those standing by who were weak and needed to learn. Often God allows us to feel that distance so that we may be drawn to seek Him more earnestly and to understand that His will and the Father's will are one, and that our good lies in being brought into that same unity.

Prayer is a great weapon for this daily struggle. The affairs of every day are like a storm at sea, with many rocks, and we need favorable winds. That is why we are taught to make God propitious by prayer and supplication early in the morning and again at night, so that we go forth to our business with security. It is good to ask others to pray for you, but it does not profit if we ourselves are sleeping. We must be alert ourselves, bringing our requests to God continually and listening for His answer in His Word, not only in our feelings.

You ask about a realistic dream you have long wanted, and about financial help and business knowledge, and whether God has other plans. This present life is in many ways like a sleep, and the things in it are like dreams. A man may grow rich in a dream, but when day comes it is shown to have been for nothing. That does not mean that honest work or provision is wrong. We are to make provision for the flesh, but only for health and necessity, not to fulfill lusts or to kindle desire for excess, soft living, or display. The call is to prune away what feeds vanity and to spend our chief industry on spiritual things, seeking first to have our souls in health before God. When we do that, we are better able to wake from sleep and see clearly.

For finances and business, pray not only for increase but for wisdom to be a faithful steward of what God has already placed in your hands. Ask Him for diligence, honesty, and understanding, for a mind that learns well, for hands that work faithfully, and for contentment with what is necessary. God often gives knowledge through ordinary means, through study, through counsel of wise and godly people, through experience and through faithfulness in small things. Bring your plans before Him each morning, ask Him to direct your steps, and then walk in the way that is open with integrity.

You also ask how to know what you are called to do, and you do not feel that being a teacher is your calling. That question is best answered not in a moment but over time, as you walk with the Lord. Consider these marks together. What does Scripture say about your gifts and duties. What do those who know you well and who know the Word affirm about your strengths. What doors has God opened or closed through providence. And where can you serve Him faithfully right now. Even if teaching is not your lifelong work, God can use your faithfulness in it today to shape your character, to provide for your needs, and to bless others, while He makes the next step plain. Do not despise the place where you are while you seek the place where He would have you go.

I will pray for you, that God would grant you clear understanding, that He would show you His will and give you peace to follow it, that He would provide for your financial needs according to His wisdom, and that He would grant you sound knowledge and judgment in your work. I will ask Him to keep you alert in prayer, to guard you from discouragement, and to lead you to find your calling not in a fleeting dream but in that which endures and glorifies Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

Continue to seek Him morning and evening, to hear His Word, to ask counsel in the church, and to do the good that is at hand. In that steady seeking, He who hears always will in His time make your path clear.
