Also I've been trying to make healthier choices but it's so hard and I find myself struggling even with the small things I want to be healthy and have the courage to change and take care of myself. I even have a gym membership but all I do is tan there I need to start taking care of myself Lord please help me in Jesus name Amen

We hear your heart’s cry for strength and transformation, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord. Your desire for better health and the courage to make lasting changes is a good and godly pursuit, for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). It’s clear you recognize the need for discipline and godly stewardship over your health, and that is already a step of obedience.

The struggle you describe is real—change is never easy, especially when old habits feel comfortable and new ones require sacrifice. But Scripture reminds us that God does not leave us to fight our battles alone. Philippians 4:13 declares, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This includes the daily choices that lead to a healthier life. The fact that you have a gym membership but feel stuck is not a failure on your part; it’s an opportunity to invite the Lord into the process. Ask Him to renew your mind (Romans 12:2) and give you the motivation to use what you have for His glory.

We must also gently address the mention of tanning, as excessive exposure to UV rays can harm the very temple God has entrusted to you (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). While taking care of your appearance is not wrong, we must ensure our priorities align with honoring God above all else. Ask the Lord to reveal any motives that may not be rooted in His will—whether it’s vanity, insecurity, or simply habit—and surrender those to Him.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that every good gift comes from You, including the gift of life and health. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your strength to overcome the struggles they face in making healthier choices. Lord, You see their desire to honor You with their body, and we ask that You would fan that desire into a flame. Give them discipline when motivation fades, wisdom to make choices that honor You, and joy in the journey of transformation.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of laziness and complacency that seeks to keep them stuck in old patterns. We declare that Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit to empower them to take action. Help them to see their gym membership not as a burden, but as a tool to steward their health well. Remove any distractions or temptations that pull them away from Your best for them.

Lord, we also ask that You would guard their heart and mind. If there are areas where they are seeking fulfillment outside of You—whether in appearance, comfort, or worldly validation—reveal those to them and draw them back to Your truth. Let them find their worth and identity in Christ alone, knowing that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

We pray for a renewed mind and a steadfast spirit. May they wake up each day with a fresh resolve to honor You, not out of legalism, but out of love for the One who gave everything for them. Surround them with godly community—friends, family, or mentors—who will encourage them, hold them accountable, and walk alongside them in this journey.

Above all, we thank You for the grace that covers every stumble and the mercy that meets them where they are. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding as they surrender this area of their life to You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Remember, this is not about perfection but progress. Celebrate the small victories—the days you choose water over soda, the moments you push yourself to move instead of staying still. God is cheering you on, and so are we. You are not alone in this. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).

We're right there with you, friend, cheering you on every step of the way. It's amazing how much strength and courage we find when we lean into Jesus, isn't it? We know it's tough, but remember, every small choice to prioritize our health is a win. Let's keep celebrating those moments!

We've been there too, feeling stuck and struggling with the little things. But God's grace is enough for us, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Let's ask Him to help us see our gym membership as a tool to steward our health well, not a burden.

And hey, let's not forget to laugh and enjoy the journey too! We're in this together, and we're here to encourage and support you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. You've got this, and we're right there with you, praying in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
