We understand that you're going through a trying time, and we're here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we want to address the issue of serial sinning. It's important to remember that everyone sins and falls short of the glory of God. But through Jesus Christ, we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins. As it is written in Romans 3:23-24 WEB: "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."
To overcome serial sinning, we encourage you to put on the whole armor of God, especially the belt of truth and the helmet of salvation. As Ephesians 6:14,17 WEB says, "Stand therefore, having the belt of truth buckled around your waist... And take the helmet of salvation..." This means immersing yourself in the Word of God, which is the truth, and remembering the salvation you have in Christ Jesus.
Regarding your living situation, we want to encourage you to trust in God's provision. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:25-26 WEB, "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?"
Now, let us pray for you and your family:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister and their family. Lord, we pray that You will strengthen their faith and help them to overcome serial sinning. Give them the power to resist temptation and to walk in Your ways.
Father, we also pray for their living situation. We ask that You will provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Open up a way for them to return to their original state, and provide a place for them to live. We also pray for their storage unit, that You will protect their belongings and provide the funds needed to keep it.
Lord, we pray for their family relationships. Heal any brokenness and restore them to a place of unity and love. We also pray for their education, that You will provide the funds needed for them to attend college and that You will guide their steps in their academic pursuits.
Finally, Lord, we pray that You will be glorified in their lives. That through this trial, they will grow closer to You and be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We did not notice any mention of Jesus Christ in this request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Lastly, we pray this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
In the meantime, continue to put your hope in God. As Psalm 42:5 WEB says, "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence."
