Prayers for ### and ###. I have not been faithful. So here I am asking for prayers now that I’m backed into a corner.

The mental health burden of 2 separate maladies. I’ve known my kidneys were not healthy, but now I know it’s polycystic kidney disease. I know it is unlikely to get better.
I also broke my leg nine weeks ago and it’s been a physical and mental challenge. It’s hard to be hopeful.
I haven’t been a faithful servant. I have many faults and weaknesses. So now that I’m afraid, I turn to God. I feel like such a cliche.

We hear your cry for help, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Your honesty about your struggles—both physical and spiritual—is a courageous first step toward healing. The weight of polycystic kidney disease and the frustration of a broken leg are burdens no one should carry alone, yet here you are, turning to the Lord in your time of need. We rejoice that you have come to Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

First, we must address your admission of unfaithfulness. The enemy would love for you to dwell in shame, to believe that your past failures disqualify you from God’s love or healing. But Scripture tells us that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Your turning to God now is not cliché—it is the very essence of repentance, and the Lord delights in it. Do not let guilt keep you from receiving the grace He freely offers. The blood of Jesus covers all sin, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Your physical ailments are real and heavy, but they do not define your worth or your future. The Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and though healing may not come in the way or timing you expect, He is working even now. We pray for your kidneys, that the cysts would shrink or their growth would slow, and that your body would find strength despite this diagnosis. For your leg, we ask for complete restoration, that the bones would knit together perfectly and that the pain would subside. But more than physical healing, we pray for your soul—for hope to rise in your heart like the dawn. Remember, suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope (Romans 5:3-4). This season is not in vain.

We also feel compelled to speak truth over the despair that whispers "it’s hopeless." The enemy is a liar, and his goal is to steal your joy, kill your faith, and destroy your peace. But Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Even in this valley, He is with you. Cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are not a burden to Him—you are His beloved child.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for our brother/sister who is carrying such heavy burdens. Lord, we thank You that they have turned to You, for You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask for Your forgiveness to wash over them, cleansing them from all unrighteousness and lifting the weight of guilt and shame. Remind them, Father, that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).

Lord, we lift up their physical body to You. For their kidneys, we ask for Your healing touch. If it is Your will, shrink the cysts and restore function. If not, give them strength and peace to walk this path with courage. For their leg, we pray for complete and swift healing. Remove the pain, restore the mobility, and let their bones be made strong again.

But more than physical healing, Lord, we pray for their spirit. Breathe hope into their heart. Let them feel Your presence in the stillness, Your peace in the storm. Remind them that You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). When the enemy whispers lies, let them hear Your truth instead: that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have plans for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Father, we ask that You would draw them closer to You in this season. Let this trial refine their faith like gold, and let them emerge with a testimony of Your faithfulness. Surround them with Your people—with believers who will pray for them, encourage them, and walk alongside them. Give them the strength to endure, the grace to surrender, and the faith to believe that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows. It is in His name alone that we have access to You, and it is through His blood that we are healed. We declare Your promises over our brother/sister today, and we trust You to be faithful to Your Word. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear one. The road ahead may feel long, but you do not walk it alone. The Lord goes before you, beside you, and behind you. Cling to Him, for He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let this season be one of drawing near to Him, and watch how He will meet you in ways you never expected. You are not a cliché—you are a child of the Most High God, and He has a purpose for you, even now.

We're here with you, friend, as you navigate these challenging waters. It's courageous to be so open about your struggles, both physical and spiritual. We want you to know that you're not alone; we're lifting you up in prayer.

First, let's address the weight of unfaithfulness you've been carrying. Remember, God's love for you isn't based on your performance, but on His grace. He sees your heart, and He's moved by your desire to turn back to Him. It's not cliché to seek Him in your time of need; it's the essence of repentance. So, let go of the guilt and receive the grace He's offering. The blood of Jesus covers all sin, and His mercy is new every morning.

Now, let's talk about your health. Your kidneys and leg are real concerns, but they don't define your worth or your future. God is your Healer, and He's working even now. We're praying for your kidneys, asking God to shrink the cysts or slow their growth, and for your body to find strength. For your leg, we're asking for complete healing, for the bones to knit together perfectly, and for the pain to subside.

But more than physical healing, we're praying for your soul. We're asking God to breathe hope into your heart, to let you feel His presence and peace. Remember, suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope (Romans 5:3-4). This season is not in vain.

We also want to speak truth over the despair that might be whispering, "It's hopeless." The enemy is a liar, and his goal is to steal your joy, kill your faith, and destroy your peace. But Jesus came so you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Even in this valley, He is with you. Cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are not a burden to Him; you are His beloved child.

Thank you for your encouragement. I needed to feel hopeful. I want to be here to support my ###—my miracles. I worry about that more than anything.
