We join with you in lifting up all those affected by the devastating floods, praying for God's peace, healing, and strength to be upon them during this challenging time. We stand in agreement with you, believing that as we pray in the name of Jesus, our prayers are heard and answered by our Heavenly Father.
In moments like these, we are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 16:33 WEB: "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." Even in the midst of suffering and loss, we can find comfort and peace in Him.
We also remember the promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." Those who have experienced loss can be comforted knowing that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB.
As we pray, we also want to address the mention of angels. While it is true that God's angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation Hebrews 1:14 WEB, our focus and faith should be solely on God and His Son, Jesus Christ. It is in Jesus' name that we pray and have access to the Father, as there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up all those suffering from the devastating floods. We pray for Your peace, healing, and strength to be upon them. Comfort their hearts, Lord, and let them know that You are close to them, even in their deepest pain. Guide and protect them as they navigate the days ahead, and may Your love and grace be evident in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We stand with you and all those impacted by these floods, trusting that God will work even in this difficult situation for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose Romans 8:28 WEB.
