Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and for allowing what you have walked through to become a place of help for others. To take painful experience and turn it toward caring for others is a true work of ministry, and it is a work you do together with Jesus himself.
Scripture reminds us that we are workers together with him, and that God hears us in a time accepted and helps us in the day of salvation. Your desire that those who are hurting would find hope and find him is very much in line with that grace. Pray that the Lord himself would direct those who need prayer and sound resources to the help you have made available, and that he would guard that work so it brings no offense and no blame, but instead proves itself to be of God.
The proof of any ministry is not in words alone but in character and endurance. It is shown in pureness, in knowledge, in patience and kindness, in the work of the Holy Spirit, and in sincere love. It is shown in how we stand steady through both honor and dishonor, through good report and evil report, being regarded as deceivers yet being true, because our aim is to please God to whom we must one day give an account for the stewardship he has entrusted to us.
Remember also that God is the one who truly calls and establishes a ministry. Faithfulness in what may seem small or hidden is where real ministry begins, and as we are faithful there, the Lord expands the work in his way and time. The greatest joy in such work is not numbers or recognition, but seeing lives steadied, walking in truth, and finding healing in Christ. He heals in many ways, sometimes instantly and sometimes gradually, and his healing touches body, mind and heart. He alone can mend the deep wounds that abuse leaves behind.
I pray for you and for every survivor and victim who is seeking help. May the Lord comfort you, strengthen you, and give you wisdom and longsuffering as you serve. May he protect you from discouragement and keep your work grounded in prayer and in the faithful teaching of his word, which must remain the first priority of any ministry. May he make the fruit of this work evident in lives that are restored, hearts that are written upon by his Spirit, and people who come to know Jesus as Savior and find safety and wholeness in him.
May Jesus be near to all who love him and to all who are seeking him now, drawing them to himself, granting salvation, peace, and the deep healing only he can give.
