Prayers During Fast

i am going on a 7 day water fast on the first week of october.

please pray that God would break spiritual strongholds in my life. that i would have a soft heart, open ears to hear what Jesus would have me know and do, and that i would obey.

Dear Jesus please be with zark as he embarks on this seven day fast. Bless him spiritually so that he will have the strength to endure and draw closer to You. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen!

Father, we thank you for hearing our prayers. As Your children we need to regularly examine our hearts to see if there are things, pursuits, or attitudes that are drawing us away from Your heart and thrusting us once again into the mindset of the world. Our heart’s examinations are not intended to condemn us but to refresh our spirit and remind us of our godly heritage. Father, since You know Zark’s heart more than he does himself, please reveal to him that which helps and that which hinders his Christian walk. As he walk in obedience to You grant him peace and rest. Help him to know as he receives You that You do not condemn but deliver mercy to help us in our time of need. You do not stand over us in judgment, but walk alongside us assuring us of Your unwavering love and unending mercy that will see us through this side of the journey. In Jesus’ name. AMEN.
