Blessed and Thankful

Servant of All
Prayer for me to be free from childhood and adulthood mistakes and traumas, and too be free from terrorism and abuse from those who I was around in childhood and adulthood in Jesus name amen.

We join with you in this deep cry for freedom and healing in Jesus' name, and we thank you for coming to Him, for it is only through Jesus that we find true liberty and restoration.

We hear the weight of what you have carried, the mistakes of childhood and adulthood, the traumas, and the pain of terrorism and abuse from those around you. The Lord sees all that you have endured and He does not turn away from your suffering. He is near to you in this pain, for Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 tells us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

We want to encourage you that in Christ, your past mistakes do not have to define you. When we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse us. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And Romans 8:1 declares There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. You do not have to live under the shame or guilt of former sins once you have brought them to Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. God can redeem even the most painful parts of your story.

We also lift up the deep wounds left by trauma and by those who have abused and terrorized you. The Lord is your refuge and your deliverer. Isaiah 61:1 proclaims The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound. Jesus came to set the captives free, and John 8:36 promises If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. This freedom includes freedom from the torment of past abuse, from fear, and from the lies that trauma can plant in our hearts that we are worthless or beyond healing.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know every mistake, every wound, every moment of terror and abuse from childhood until now. We ask You to pour out Your forgiveness where there has been sin, and Your healing where there has been trauma. Wash away condemnation and shame with the blood of Jesus, and let this dear one know they are a new creation in Christ. Heal the broken heart and bind up every wound, Lord. Break every chain of fear, oppression, and torment that has come from those who caused harm, and set Your child free indeed. Fill the places of pain with Your perfect love, which casts out fear, and with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and lead them into safe, godly community where they can be supported and discipled in Your Word. Help them to release bitterness and to trust You with justice, knowing that vengeance belongs to You, while walking in forgiveness as You have forgiven us. Restore what the enemy has stolen and make their life a testimony of Your redeeming power. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk closely with the Lord daily through prayer and reading His Word, for His Word renews our minds and reminds us of who we are in Him. If possible, seek out a trusted pastor or biblical counselor and a strong church family who can walk with you in this healing journey, so you are not carrying this alone. God is able to use even these painful experiences for good as you trust Him, for Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Keep pressing into Jesus, for He is faithful to complete the healing and freedom He has begun in you.

We appreciate you bringing this before the Lord so honestly. Wanting to be free from the weight of past mistakes and from the deep hurt of trauma and abuse, both as a child and as an adult, is a deeply understandable prayer. When harm has come from people close to you, it can leave you feeling unsafe in the world and even unsafe in your own memories.

We want you to know we are praying for your safety, your healing and for wisdom as you walk forward. Freedom often comes as a process, not all at once, and you do not have to walk it alone.

One gentle next step that helps many who have carried this kind of pain is to choose one safe, trustworthy person to talk with more openly, whether a pastor, a Christian counselor experienced with trauma, or a mature believer you trust, and share at a pace that feels safe for you. If you are still around people who harm or intimidate you, please consider making a simple safety plan with that trusted person or with a local support resource. If painful memories, sleep struggles or anxiety persist, it can also help to meet with a counselor or your doctor alongside prayer, just to have caring support for your whole wellbeing.

Father, we bring our friend to You now. You see all they have carried from childhood until now, every wound and every regret. We ask for Your protection, for peace that steadies their heart and for healing that goes deep over time. Lead them to safe people and wise help, and help them know day by day that they are valued and not alone. In Jesus name, amen.

We have heard your cry and we join with you before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to show you His healing and pardoning power in Jesus Christ.

You ask to be free from the mistakes and traumas of childhood and adulthood, and to be delivered from the terrorism and abuse of those around you. Know this, that the Lord does great things past finding out, yea and wonders without number, and His mercies are high as Heaven and wide as the East is from the West. What man is there who does not make mistakes, we all have erred and fallen short, but God makes no mistakes. He takes notice of the lowliest and most wounded, for He takes notice of beggars as well as of queens, and not a sigh of the broken heart escapes Him.

There is healing for such wounds as yours. It is written, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. And again, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves, His touch, His Word, are full of healing virtue, to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon a soul with healing in His wings, pardon and healing become one. As Jesus said to the palsied man, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, so He first forgives and then He heals.

We pray for you that you may know this order of grace. That you may look to Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name by which we must be saved, and find in Him the forgiveness that blots out the past. Reformation cannot atone for the past nor secure righteousness for the future, we must be humbled in the dust and look for all in Christ. The joy of pardon makes us able to forget the sorrow of the past, so that the inhabitant shall no more say, I am sick, and shall no more remember the reproach of former days.

And we pray that the Lord who is your great Physician will bind up what has been broken by cruelty and terror. That He will set you free from the power of those who have abused you, and keep you in His own safe keeping. That He will purge every evil and cause abundant streams of healing to flow down to you from Himself, the great conduit Head. That He will give you to meditate not upon terror as past and gone, but upon mercy world without end, as forever your own.

May the Lord take you by the hand and lift you up, as He lifted her who lay sick of a fever, for healing must come before serving, and He alone can do it. Look to Him in faith, for faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Cast your broken heart upon Him who was broken for you, and trust His blood and righteousness alone.

We ask the Father to forgive your sins for Christ's sake, to heal your wounds, to deliver you from all oppression and fear, and to make you whole in Christ, to the praise of His glorious grace. In the name of Jesus our only hope and healer, Amen.
