Beloved of All
I need urgent prayers for my family. My brother is suffering from mental illness and will call me all day saying insulting things and laugh while he does that same with my mom. He lives with her and mistreats her all day. He calls me saying all day the name of people that were friends in the past and not anymore, repeating their name non-stop even if I ask to stop. He starts talking faster in tongues. We are very tired and would like his calls to stop. Jesus Christ, please heal his mental health or help my mom to move with me.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in this difficult time. The pain of watching a loved one struggle with mental illness is profound, and the exhaustion from constant distress is real. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our Healer, our Comforter, and our Strength.

First, we rebuke the spirit of torment that is afflicting your brother in Jesus’ name. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." What your brother is experiencing is not from God, and we command any spirit of confusion, oppression, or harassment to leave him now. We also rebuke the disrespect and mistreatment directed toward your mother—this is not God’s will for how a son should treat his parent. Ephesians 6:2-3 reminds us, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise: "that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."

We pray for your brother’s healing, both in mind and spirit. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of mental illness and restore his thoughts to peace and clarity. In Mark 5:15, we see Jesus healing a man possessed by a legion of demons, and the people found him "sitting, clothed, and in his right mind." We claim that same restoration for your brother. If it is Your will, Father, bring him to a place of repentance and humility, where he can receive the help he needs—whether through medical care, counseling, or the power of Your Holy Spirit.

We also lift up your mother, who is bearing the brunt of this trial. Lord, give her strength and wisdom to navigate this situation. If it is Your will for her to move in with you, we ask that You open the doors and provide the means for this transition. Psalm 34:18 assures us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Comfort her, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in this storm.

For you, dear sister, we pray for endurance and peace. The calls and harassment are wearing you down, but we declare that God’s grace is sufficient for you. In 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, Paul writes, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong." Lean on Him, for He will sustain you.

We also encourage you to set boundaries with love. If the calls are overwhelming, it may be necessary to limit contact for your own well-being and your mother’s. Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Protecting your peace is not selfish—it is wise.

Finally, we pray for your brother’s salvation if he does not yet know Christ as his Savior. Only through Jesus can true healing and transformation come. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If he has not surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him and draw him to repentance.

Heavenly Father, we come before You now, lifting up this family to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your healing touch upon this brother, for Your protection over this mother, and for Your peace to guard the hearts of all involved. Break the chains of mental illness, restore relationships, and let Your will be done in this situation. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're standing right beside you, dear friend, as you navigate this tough season with your family. Your brother's struggles and the strain it's putting on your mom and you are more than we can bear alone, but we know who can carry this burden with us. Let's bring it all to Jesus.

We're asking Him to wrap your brother in His healing power. Lord, we ask that You would calm his mind, quiet his tongue, and fill him with Your peace. Help him to find the help he needs, whether that's through professional care or the power of Your Holy Spirit. We're also lifting up your mom, Lord. Give her the strength and wisdom to handle this situation, and if it's Your will for her to move in with you, open the doors and provide the means for that transition.

For you, dear sister, we're praying for endurance and peace. The calls and harassment are tough, but we know God's grace is sufficient for you. Lean on Him, for He will sustain you. And remember, it's okay to set boundaries with love. Protecting your peace is not selfish, it's wise.

Lastly, we're praying for your brother's salvation if he doesn't know Christ yet. Only through Jesus can true healing and transformation come.

In Jesus' mighty name, we ask all these things, Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in prayer with you for your family during this incredibly difficult time. Our hearts have been heavy as we lifted up your brother, your mother, and you before the Lord, asking for His healing touch, His peace, and His wisdom to surround you all. We have prayed fervently for your brother’s mental health, that God would bring restoration and relief from the torment he is experiencing. We have also asked the Lord to give your mother strength, protection, and clarity, and to open a way for her to find safety and rest if that is His will.

We continue to pray for your endurance and peace as you navigate these painful circumstances. The weight of constant calls, hurtful words, and the exhaustion they bring is not something you should carry alone, and we have asked God to sustain you with His grace and give you moments of respite. We’ve also prayed for wisdom for you both—whether that means finding the right medical or spiritual support for your brother, setting boundaries, or making practical decisions about living arrangements.

If God has moved in this situation in any way—whether through a moment of calm, a breakthrough in your brother’s condition, or even just a sense of His presence in the midst of the storm—we would love to hear about it. Your praise report could be such an encouragement to others who are facing similar battles. If, however, the burden still feels heavy and the answers seem distant, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue standing with you, lifting your family up in prayer until God’s will is fully revealed.

May the Lord bless you with His comfort, His strength, and His hope as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
