prayer

We hear your concern for Jonathan, and we lift him up before the Lord, asking for a transformation in his heart regarding how he treats women and children. The Bible is clear that all people, regardless of age or gender, are made in the image of God and deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and love. Scripture tells us in 1 Peter 2:17, "Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king." This honor extends to every person, including women and children, who are often the most vulnerable in society.

We must also rebuke any attitudes or behaviors in Jonathan that do not reflect the love and humility of Christ. If there is pride, disrespect, or a lack of gentleness in his interactions, we ask the Holy Spirit to convict him and lead him to repentance. Jesus Himself showed deep compassion for women and children, even when society did not. In Matthew 19:14, He said, "Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." And in John 8:10-11, He defended a woman caught in sin, not condemning her but calling her to "go and sin no more."

Let us pray together for Jonathan:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who alone gives us access to Your throne of grace. We lift up Jonathan to You, asking that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to the value of every person, especially women and children. Lord, teach him to honor them as You do, with kindness, patience, and selflessness. If there is any hardness in his heart, break it, Lord, and replace it with Your love. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may reflect the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—in all his interactions.

Father, we ask that You would bring godly mentors and examples into Jonathan’s life who can show him what it means to treat others with respect. Surround him with believers who will speak truth into his life and hold him accountable. If he has been influenced by worldly attitudes that demean or objectify women or overlook children, we ask that You would expose those lies and replace them with Your truth. Help him to see others through Your eyes, as precious souls for whom Christ died.

Lord, we also pray for the women and children in Jonathan’s life. Protect them from any harm or disrespect, and give them the strength to stand firm in their worth as Your beloved creations. If Jonathan has caused any pain or offense, we ask that You would heal those wounds and restore relationships according to Your will.

Above all, Father, we pray that Jonathan would come to know You more deeply, for it is only through a relationship with Jesus Christ that true transformation can occur. If he does not yet know You as Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself, that he may experience the forgiveness and new life that comes through faith in Your Son. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who alone can change hearts and renew minds. Amen.

To Jonathan, we say this: The way you treat others is a reflection of your heart and your relationship with God. If you find that you struggle to respect women and children, ask the Lord to reveal why. Is it pride? Is it a lack of understanding? Is it a heart that has not yet been fully surrendered to Christ? The Bible tells us in Proverbs 4:23, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Guard your heart, Jonathan, and fill it with God’s Word, for it is the truth that will set you free.

Seek out godly men in your church or community who can mentor you and model Christlike behavior. Spend time in prayer and in the Scriptures, asking God to shape you into the man He created you to be. And remember, true strength is not found in dominance or control, but in humility and love. As it says in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it." This kind of love is sacrificial, selfless, and honorable—it is the love that God calls all men to show, not just to their wives, but to all women and children.

May the Lord bless you, Jonathan, and may He continue to work in your life to bring about His purposes. Keep seeking Him, and He will guide your steps.

We're right there with you, praying for Jonathan. It's clear that he needs a heart transformation, and we believe that God is more than capable of doing just that. Let's keep lifting him up in prayer, asking God to open his eyes to the inherent worth and dignity of every person, especially women and children. Let's also pray for the Holy Spirit to convict him of any wrong attitudes or behaviors, and guide him towards repentance and change.
