Disciple of Prayer
I’m ### years old and a very young woman, I am a devout Catholic. Many years ago I married a much older man, who was divorced and this man has brought nothing but pain, abuse and sorrow into my life. He hurt me many times, I called the Police to no avail and he left me without any money or any way to buy food on my home, due to various reasons all I have is myself and our Heavenly Father, without whom, I am capable of nothing. I ask for your prayer requests at this time as I am very afraid of being hurt again, this man is very evil and malicious and wanted to leave me for dead on the side of the road. He thinks that God isn’t with me and wanted me to surrender to him instead of God, he denies his crimes, abuses the law and can be very frightening and intimidating. I am praying for a home of my own, one that he won’t be able to take away from me or hurt me in, please be with me at this time and intercede for me on my behalf. God bless you all, thank you and I love you.

We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you up with heavy hearts before our Heavenly Father. The pain and fear you have endured are not unknown to Him, and He sees every tear you have shed. The abuse you have suffered is a grave injustice, and we stand with you in righteous anger against the evil that has been done to you. The Word of God is clear: "The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble" (Psalm 9:9). You are not alone, and you are not without hope.

First, we must address the matter of your marriage. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31-32). However, your husband was divorced before marrying you, and Jesus Himself taught that divorce—except in cases of sexual immorality—is not part of God’s original design (Matthew 19:8-9). The abuse you have endured is a violation of the marriage covenant and is never acceptable in God’s eyes. We rebuke the spirit of violence and oppression that has been unleashed against you, and we declare that it has no place in your life. "The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). We pray that God will bring His justice to bear in this situation and that your husband will be held accountable for his sins.

Your husband’s claim that God is not with you is a lie straight from the pit of hell. The enemy seeks to isolate and destroy, but God promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). You are a beloved child of the Most High, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke the spirit of fear that has tried to take hold of you, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not powerless—you are a warrior in Christ, and He will fight for you.

We also lift up your need for a safe and stable home. The Lord is your provider, and He knows your every need. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). We pray that God will open doors for you to find a place of refuge, a home where you can heal and thrive, free from the threat of harm. May He provide for you in ways that only He can, and may you see His faithfulness in every detail.

We must also speak to the spiritual battle raging around you. Your husband’s denial of his crimes and his manipulation of the law are not just human failings—they are evidence of a heart hardened by sin. We pray that God will soften his heart and bring him to true repentance. However, we also recognize that your safety is paramount. Scripture tells us, "If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,' says the Lord" (Romans 12:18-19). While we trust God to bring justice, we also encourage you to seek wise counsel and take practical steps to protect yourself, including legal measures if necessary.

Finally, we want to remind you of the power of the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Him, surrendering your life, your pain, and your future into His hands. "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). He is your Good Shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters and restore your soul (Psalm 23:2-3).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our sister who has endured so much pain and fear. Lord, You see her suffering, and You hear her cries. We ask that You would be her refuge and her strength, a very present help in this time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke the spirit of abuse and oppression that has been unleashed against her, and we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we pray for justice to be done, that her husband would be held accountable for his sins and that You would bring him to repentance.

Father, we ask that You would provide her with a safe and stable home, a place where she can heal and experience Your peace. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for her every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Lord, we pray that You would surround her with godly people who can support and encourage her, and that You would give her wisdom as she navigates this difficult season.

We also pray for her spiritual protection, Lord. Guard her heart and mind from fear, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind her daily that she is Your beloved child, and that You will never leave her nor forsake her (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen her faith, and help her to trust in You with all her heart.

Finally, Lord, we pray for her husband. We ask that You would break the hardness of his heart and bring him to a place of true repentance. If it is Your will, restore what has been broken, but above all, protect our sister from further harm. We trust in Your justice and Your mercy, and we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Sister, you are not forgotten. You are seen, you are loved, and you are valued by the Creator of the universe. Hold fast to His promises, and do not lose heart. The God of all comfort is with you, and He will never let you go. May He fill you with His peace and guide you into the future He has prepared for you.

Dear sister, we're here with you, holding your hand through this storm. We know the fear that grips your heart, the pain that echoes in your soul. But remember, you're not alone. We're standing right beside you, and so is our Heavenly Father.

We've been praying for your safety, for a home that's truly yours, a sanctuary where you can heal and find peace. We trust that God sees your need and will provide, just as He promises in Psalm 37:4, "Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

We're also asking God to soften your husband's heart. We believe in the power of prayer, and we're claiming Romans 2:4, "God's kindness leads you toward repentance." But we also know that your safety is paramount. We're praying for wisdom as you navigate this situation, and we trust that God will guide your steps.

And sister, we want to remind you of your strength. You're a warrior in Christ, and He's fighting for you. We're claiming Ephesians 6:10, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." You're not powerless; you're a daughter of the King, and He's got you.

We're here, praying with you, for you. We're believing for a miracle, for justice, for healing, for peace. And we're trusting that God will see you through, just as He's promised in His Word. Keep holding on, sister. You're not alone.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this incredibly difficult season. It has been on our hearts to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to wrap you in His peace, shield you from harm, and surround you with His unfailing protection. We have prayed for your safety, for justice to prevail, and for God’s provision to meet every need—especially for a home where you can live free from fear and oppression.

We are so grateful that you reached out and allowed us to join you in seeking God’s face. If He has answered these prayers in any way—whether through protection, provision, or peace—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the battle still feels heavy and the answers have not yet come, please know we are still here, ready to stand with you in prayer once more. You do not have to carry this alone.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you, comfort you, and remind you of His presence every moment. He sees your pain, He hears your cries, and He will never abandon you. We will keep praying for your deliverance, for healing, and for the fulfillment of every promise God has spoken over your life. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
