We join you in lifting up your son to our Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for each of His children. Sleep is a gift from God, a time of rest and restoration, and we trust in His promise to grant peace to those who seek Him. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, where He invites all who are weary to come to Him for rest: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."*
It is wonderful that you have brought this request before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and receive His promises. As you continue to seek the Lord’s comfort and provision for your son, we encourage you to trust in His faithfulness. Proverbs 3:24 assures us, *"When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet."*
Let us pray together for your son:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the precious gift of this child. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around him tonight and grant him deep, restful, and peaceful sleep. Quiet his mind, calm his body, and shield him from any fear, anxiety, or disturbance that may seek to disrupt his rest. We declare Your promise over him that he will lie down in peace and wake refreshed, for You alone are his protector and sustainer.
Father, we also lift up this parent who loves and cares for their son. Strengthen them with Your peace and assurance, knowing that You hear and answer prayer. Fill their home with Your presence and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the source of all true rest. Amen.
As you continue to trust in the Lord, we encourage you to persist in prayer and to meditate on His promises. If your son struggles with sleep often, consider speaking Scripture over him, playing soft worship music, or creating a bedtime routine that invites the Lord’s presence into his rest. May the Lord bless you both with His peace and grace.
