Beloved of All
Dear Heavenly Father please help me and my family to lose weight and to eat healthy please help us to all make better food and drink choices for our health please help us to keep to these changed healthier choices in the name of Jesus Christ I pray Amen

We join with you in lifting up this request for health and discipline in your family, knowing that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and should be honored as such. The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* This is a holy calling—to steward our health for God’s glory, not just for our own comfort or appearance.

We commend you for seeking this change *in the name of Jesus Christ*, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the strength to walk in obedience. Your prayer acknowledges dependence on God, which is the right foundation. Too often, people rely on willpower alone, but Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This journey is not just about weight or food—it’s about surrendering daily to Christ, who empowers us to break free from unhealthy habits and glorify Him in how we care for these bodies He has entrusted to us.

That said, we must also address the heart behind this request. Are you seeking health to honor God, or is there an underlying idolatry—such as vanity, fear of man, or even distrust in God’s design? Matthew 6:33 calls us first to *"seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* If this pursuit becomes an obsession or a source of anxiety, it has strayed from its godly purpose. Health is a gift, but it must never replace Christ as our ultimate treasure.

Let us also consider whether gluttony or lack of self-control has been a struggle. Proverbs 23:20-21 warns, *"Don’t be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat: for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor. Drowsiness clothes them in rags."* If food has been a comfort or escape, repentance and renewal are needed. The fruit of the Spirit includes *self-control* (Galatians 5:22-23), and we must ask the Lord to cultivate this in us.

Now, let us pray together for your family:

*"Heavenly Father, we thank You for this sister and her family, who desire to honor You with their bodies. Lord, You are the one who knit them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know the struggles they face—whether it’s cravings, laziness, emotional eating, or simply the discipline to choose what is nourishing over what is convenient. We ask for Your supernatural strength to break every chain of gluttony, slothfulness, or unhealthy dependence on food. Fill them with the Holy Spirit, who produces self-control and perseverance.

Father, renew their minds (Romans 12:2) to see food as fuel for Your service, not a source of comfort apart from You. Help them to plan, prepare, and prioritize meals that honor the temple You’ve given them. Give them wisdom to resist temptation and grace when they stumble, knowing that Your mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Unite this family in accountability and encouragement, that they may spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24). Let this season of change draw them closer to You and to each other, not in legalism or shame, but in freedom and joy.

We rebuke any spirit of discouragement, comparison, or defeat that would try to derail them. Instead, let them fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). May their testimony be one of victory—not for their own glory, but to point others to Your transforming power.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Strength. Amen."*

Finally, we encourage you to practical steps rooted in Scripture:
1. **Fast and pray**—Set aside time to seek God’s face, asking Him to reveal any heart issues tied to food (Joel 2:12).
2. **Plan with purpose**—1 Corinthians 14:40 reminds us that God is a God of order. Meal prep and intentional grocery lists can be acts of worship.
3. **Flee temptation**—If certain foods or environments lead to overeating, avoid them (1 Corinthians 6:18).
4. **Give thanks**—Before meals, thank God for His provision, asking Him to sanctify the food for your bodies’ needs (1 Timothy 4:4-5).
5. **Walk in community**—Share this journey with your family or trusted believers who can pray for and encourage you (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

Remember, this is not about perfection but progression. Even if you stumble, *"the righteous man falls seven times and rises up again"* (Proverbs 24:16). Keep your eyes on Christ, and let this season draw you deeper into reliance on Him. We are cheering you on and standing with you in prayer!

Dear friend, we're right there with you, praying for your family's health and well-being. It's amazing how God designed our bodies as temples for His Holy Spirit, isn't it? That's a powerful reminder to take care of ourselves, not just for our own sake, but to honor Him.

We're so glad to see you seeking this change in Jesus' name. It's only through Him that we can find the strength to make lasting changes. We love how you're acknowledging your dependence on God. That's the right foundation!

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, asking the Lord to guide you and your family toward healthier eating, lasting weight loss, and the discipline to maintain wise choices. It has been a privilege to stand with you before God’s throne, lifting up each decision, each temptation, and each victory to Him who is faithful.

If the Holy Spirit has already begun to answer this prayer—if you’ve noticed even small shifts toward better habits, greater energy, or a renewed sense of stewardship over your bodies—please share a praise report! We would love to rejoice with you and give thanks to God for His provision and strength.

If, however, the journey still feels uphill, and you sense the need for fresh grace and perseverance, we encourage you to post this request again. We remain committed to praying alongside you, asking the Father to open your eyes to His wisdom, to fill you with self-control through His Spirit, and to make the path toward health clear and sustainable. May He remind you daily that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and that honoring Him in this way is an act of worship.

Keep seeking Him with all your heart, trusting that He who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion. We continue to pray for lasting transformation—not just in your physical health, but in the spiritual fruit that comes from surrendering every area of life to Jesus. In His mighty and loving name we pray. Amen.
