Beloved of All
Please keep my family in your prayers. My brother suffers from a very serious, long-standing mental illness that causes severe outbursts, aggression, and controlling behavior. Today he had another episode — yelling at me, screaming at our mother all day, insulting her, and even hitting her elbow. Sadly, this is not new. His condition has worsened over time, and despite all efforts — including psychiatric support, police involvement, and help from relatives — nothing has improved. He clings to our mother, controls her movements, and won’t let her attend even essential appointments. If she tries to do anything independently, he becomes unstable. We’ve tried everything humanly possible, and I am emotionally exhausted. They are scheduled to travel to Korea tomorrow, and I’m deeply concerned for my mother’s safety. Please pray that the trip is peaceful — and that, if it is God’s will, my brother finds a job or direction there and finally lets go. I ask for your prayers that he stops calling me constantly, stops overwhelming us, and finally gives my mother and me peace as I can't take this anymore. May God intervene and bring healing, freedom, and calm to this situation. Thank you for standing with us in prayer.

Our hearts ache for you and your family as we lift this heavy burden before the Lord. The suffering you describe is profound, and we know the emotional and physical toll this has taken on you and your mother. Yet we also know that nothing is beyond God’s power to redeem, heal, and restore. The Bible reminds us in **Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)**, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You have done well to bring this before the Lord, and we join you in crying out to Him for mercy and intervention.

The aggression, control, and instability your brother exhibits are not only harmful but also a sign of deep spiritual and emotional brokenness. While we pray earnestly for his healing, we must also acknowledge that his behavior is sinful—abuse, violence, and manipulation are never justified, regardless of mental illness. **Ephesians 4:29-32 (WEB)** commands us, *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God... Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* His actions are in direct opposition to God’s will, and we must pray not only for his mind to be renewed but for his heart to be convicted and transformed by the Holy Spirit.

Your mother’s safety is of utmost concern. The Bible calls us to honor our parents (**Exodus 20:12**), and your brother’s behavior is a grievous violation of this commandment. We pray that the Lord would place a hedge of protection around your mother during this trip to Korea. If it is His will, may this journey be a turning point—either by your brother finding purpose and independence or by God making a way for your mother to be freed from this oppressive control. **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)** assures us, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*

We also lift you up, dear sibling, as you carry this immense weight. The constant calls, the emotional exhaustion, and the fear for your mother’s well-being are more than anyone should bear alone. **1 Peter 5:7 (WEB)** tells us to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* You do not have to carry this alone—God sees your suffering, and He will sustain you. We pray that He grants you supernatural peace, wisdom, and strength. If possible, we encourage you to seek support from your church community or trusted believers who can walk alongside you in this trial. Isolation only magnifies the burden, but God did not design us to face such battles alone.

As for your brother, we pray that the Lord would break through the darkness in his mind and heart. Mental illness is a real and painful struggle, but it does not excuse sin. We ask God to bring him to a place of repentance, where he surrenders his anger, control, and pride to Jesus. May he encounter the love of Christ in a way that shatters his hardness of heart. **2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB)** promises, *"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* Only Jesus can bring true transformation.

We also pray for practical intervention. If your brother is unwilling to change, we ask the Lord to provide a way for your mother to be protected—whether through legal means, the support of relatives, or divine intervention that removes her from harm’s way. **Proverbs 22:3 (WEB)** says, *"A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it."* Wisdom may require difficult decisions, and we pray God gives clarity and courage to act if necessary.

Lastly, we must address the fact that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** further states, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is by His authority and sacrifice that our prayers are heard.

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family in their deep distress. Lord, You see the pain, the fear, and the exhaustion they carry. You know the aggression and control that have tormented them for far too long. We ask for Your divine intervention—break the chains of mental illness and sin that bind this brother. Convict his heart, Lord, and bring him to repentance. Soften his anger, still his violence, and free him from the spirit of control that has enslaved him.

Father, we plead for this mother’s safety. Surround her with Your angels, protect her from harm, and grant her wisdom to know how to navigate this trial. If this trip to Korea is part of Your plan for deliverance, then let it be a turning point. Open doors for independence, for healing, and for peace. Give her strength, Lord, and do not let her be crushed under this burden.

We lift up this sibling who has borne so much. Comfort their weary heart, Lord. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Grant them rest, wisdom, and the support of Your people. Do not let them grow bitter or lose hope, but remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear, oppression, and despair in this situation. We declare that You are a God of breakthrough, of healing, and of restoration. Nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You move mightily in this family, bringing healing to the broken, freedom to the captive, and peace to the weary.

We pray all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. May Your will be done, and may Your glory be revealed in this situation. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with the heavy burden you and your family are carrying. It has been on our hearts to lift you all before the Lord these past days, asking Him to wrap His arms of comfort around you and your mother, and to bring supernatural peace into your home. We have prayed specifically for your brother—that God would soften his heart, quiet the storms within him, and lead him toward healing and freedom. We’ve also asked the Lord to protect your mother’s safety and well-being, especially during this trip, and to intervene in ways only He can.

If God has already moved in this situation—whether through moments of unexpected calm, a shift in your brother’s demeanor, or a sense of His presence in the midst of the chaos—we would be so grateful to hear how He has answered. Your praise report could be a testimony of hope to others walking through similar trials. If, however, the struggle continues and the weight feels just as heavy, please don’t hesitate to share this request again. We are here to stand with you, to pray without ceasing, and to trust that God is working even when we can’t see it.

Above all, we pray that you would feel His nearness in this exhausting season. May He give you strength when you are weary, wisdom when the path forward seems unclear, and a deep assurance that you are not alone. We continue to ask the Lord to break the chains of this illness, to restore peace in your home, and to bring lasting healing to your brother’s mind and spirit. May God’s grace sustain you, His love surround you, and His peace guard your hearts as you wait on Him.

In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
