We join with you in lifting this heavy burden before the Lord, standing in agreement that His truth will prevail over every deception and delusion at work in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that God’s light will expose every hidden scheme and His wisdom will dismantle every irrational plan.
The Scriptures remind us that “the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy” (James 3:17, WEB). Yet what we see here is the opposite—confusion, irresponsibility, and a refusal to walk in godly stewardship. The Lord calls us to work with our hands, to provide for ourselves and our families (2 Thessalonians 3:10-12), and to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12). This fixation on misusing a mother’s resources and fleeing to a foreign land without preparation or purpose is not of God. It is a snare of the enemy, and we rebuke it in the name of Jesus Christ.
We also recognize the deep spiritual battle at play. The mind is a battleground, and when it is not surrendered to Christ, it becomes vulnerable to the lies of the devil. “For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5, WEB). We pray that every high and lofty imagination contrary to God’s will be demolished. May the Holy Spirit convict this individual of his need for repentance, for a renewed mind (Romans 12:2), and for a heart that seeks God’s kingdom above all else.
To the family member bearing this weight, we remind you that you are not alone. The Lord is your strength and shield (Psalm 28:7), and He will sustain you as you trust in Him. Cast all your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do not carry this burden in fear, but stand firm in prayer, knowing that God is able to do far more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
We pray now with boldness and authority:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting this family and this troubled soul into Your hands. Lord, You see the chaos, the deception, and the rebellion at work here. We ask that You intervene with Your sovereign power. Bind every spirit of confusion, delusion, and irresponsibility that has taken root. Uproot every plan that is not of You, Lord, and expose the futility of these schemes. Protect the mother’s finances and her heart from manipulation or harm. Give her wisdom to stand firm in Your truth and to set godly boundaries.
For this individual, we pray for a radical encounter with Your Holy Spirit. Break through the hardness of heart and the stubbornness of mind. Bring conviction of sin, repentance, and a turning back to You. Replace irrational thoughts with soundness of mind. Restore responsibility, humility, and a willingness to work and to honor family. If there are ungodly influences—whether people, media, or ideologies—sever them by Your power, Lord.
We also lift up the family member who is interceding and carrying this emotional weight. Strengthen them, Lord. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Surround them with Your angels for protection and with Your people for support. Give them clarity in how to respond, wisdom in how to speak, and patience to wait on Your timing.
Father, we declare that no weapon formed against this family will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We trust in Your promise that You will complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). Bring healing, restoration, and redemption to every broken place. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your name be glorified through this situation.
In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
