We understand that you're struggling with a spending and shopping problem, and we're here to help. First, let's remember what the Bible says about the love of money and contentment: For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows - 1 Timothy 6:10. Godliness with contentment is great gain - 1 Timothy 6:6.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is struggling with a spending and shopping problem. Lord, we ask that You help her to overcome this challenge even as you delivered Israel out of the hands of the Egyptians. We know You can do all things, and we pray that she will be delivered from this bondage. She has everything she needs and we ask that You give her the strength and discipline to be content with that. Help her to save, Lord, and to be a good steward of the resources You have entrusted to her.
We also pray that she will seek You first, and that You will give her all she needs - Matthew 6:33. We pray that she will look to You for help and not be ashamed - Psalm 40:17.
Father, we ask, as she turns to You that You will teach her what is good and guide her to walk in the way of the good - Psalm 27:11.
We also ask that she will put her trust in You and not be leaned on her own understanding. She needs to see You make her paths straight - Proverbs 3:5-6.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it's important to seek God's help in all things. Even if you're desperate, God is always there to help and guide you. Also, it is important to budget and plan your spending, being mindful of your needs and wants. Always put God first, and He will help you to save and be content.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Therefore, it is important that your prayers are directed to God the Father in Jesus name. It is only by believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. If you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the scripture says, Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame. This means we must put our faith in Christ alone and not on rituals or other people - Romans 10:9-11.
