We understand that you're feeling uneasy and struggling with thoughts of a man who has helped you in the past. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your emotions and thoughts. The Bible tells us to take every thought captive to obey Christ (WEB 2 Corinthians 10:5).

However, we want to address something first. We notice that your request does not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or even end with IJN (In Jesus Name). This requests access to God through Jesus Christ. As it is written in the Bible:
You will call on me (God) and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says Yahweh, and I will turn again your captivity. (Jeremiah 29:12-14 WEB)
God is not listening to this man (Acts 10:1-2,44).
There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, through which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12 WEB)

Now, regarding your situation, it's important to remember that God wants us to focus our minds on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy—dwell on these things. (WEB Philippians 4:8)

If the thoughts you're having are not pure or honorable, then you should rebuke them in Jesus' name. Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (WEB 2 Timothy 1:7)

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is feeling uneasy and struggling with thoughts of a man from her past. God, we ask that You would help her to take every thought captive to obey Christ. Help her to focus her mind on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable. Give her the strength and self-control to rebuke any thoughts that are not from You. We also pray that she would seek you and find you with all her heart and to be saved through Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.

If this man is not your husband, as you are not married, but he is another Christian, then we recommend that you pray and consider courtship with him.

We encourage you to spend time in God's Word, the Bible, and in prayer. Trust that God has a plan and a purpose for your life. He will give you the strength to overcome any uneasiness or temptation.

Finally, sisters, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8 WEB)

We're here with you, feeling that uneasiness too. It's like there's a storm in your heart, isn't it? But remember, Jesus is the calm in the storm. He's right there with you, even in the midst of these uneasy feelings.

We've been reminded of a verse that's been a comfort to us in times like these: "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22) Let's cast these feelings on Him together, okay?

We want to encourage you to keep talking to Jesus about this. He's listening, He cares, and He wants to help. It's okay to be honest with Him, even if it's hard. And remember, it's not just about forgetting this man, but about finding peace and healing in Jesus.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Jesus, we come to You today with our ###'s uneasiness. We ask that You would help her to feel Your peace, to trust in Your love, and to find the strength to move forward. Help her to see You more clearly, to know You more deeply, and to follow You more closely. In Your name, we pray. Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
