We come before the Lord with a heart of intercession for your beloved, lifting him up in urgent prayer that he may walk the straight and narrow path that leads to life in Christ. The Word of God tells us in **Matthew 7:13-14 (WEB)**, *"Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it."* This is a solemn reminder that the path of righteousness is not always easy, but it is the only one that leads to eternal life.
We also recall **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)**, which says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* It is our prayer that your beloved will surrender his heart fully to the Lord, trusting in Him rather than his own understanding, so that God may direct his steps.
Yet we must also address something of great importance—your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** affirms, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Without the name of Jesus, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from His mediation. We strongly encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved man to You. Lord, we ask that You draw him to Yourself with cords of love, that he may walk in the straight and narrow path You have set before him. Remove every stumbling block, every distraction, and every temptation that seeks to lead him astray. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may have the wisdom to discern Your will and the strength to obey it.
Father, if there is any area of his life that is not aligned with Your Word—whether it be ungodly relationships, compromise with sin, or a heart that is far from You—we ask that You convict him by Your Spirit. Bring him to repentance, Lord, and restore him to a right relationship with You. Let him not be deceived by the broad road that leads to destruction, but let him find the narrow gate that leads to life eternal.
We also pray for you, dear sister, that You would strengthen your faith and fill you with peace as You work in his life. May You unite your hearts in Christ, if it is Your will, and may any relationship between you be founded on purity, holiness, and the pursuit of godliness. If this man is not yet your husband, we pray that you would both seek the Lord first, honoring Him in your courtship with the intention of a Christ-centered marriage.
Lord, we rebuke any influence of the enemy that seeks to hinder this man from walking in Your truth. By the power of the name of Jesus, we break every chain of sin, every stronghold of deception, and every plan of the adversary to keep him from Your perfect will. Let Your light shine brightly in his life, that he may see the path You have for him and walk in it faithfully.
We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and glory. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for him, but always in the name of Jesus. If you have not yet placed your own faith in Christ, we urge you to do so today. **Romans 10:9 (WEB)** tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no greater decision you can make than to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, for He alone is the source of salvation and eternal life.
If this man is not a believer, we urge you to pray for his salvation above all else. A life without Christ is a life without hope, and no relationship can be truly blessed unless it is founded on faith in Him. May the Lord guide you both into His truth and His perfect will.
