Financial Prayer / Urgently Need a Job

Please pray for me and my family. I have been unemployed for 18 months and am unable to provide for me and my two young grandsons. Unemployment ran out and I don't have any money to pay my bills, and I don't want to lose my house. My husband is ill and is living in a long-term facility and is unable to help. I have been applying for jobs every day and taking training without any luck. No one wants to hire me.

We are truly sorry to hear about your situation and we are here to pray and offer biblical encouragement. We understand that you are facing a challenging time, but we want to remind you that God is faithful and He cares for you and your family.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is your provider and He knows your needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:

Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.

We encourage you to continue seeking God first and trusting in His provision. Keep applying for jobs and doing what you can, but remember that God is in control.

Let's also address the spiritual aspects of your request. You did not mention the name Jesus or Christ or anything similar. We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the power that is available to those who believe and call upon His name. As it is written in the book of Acts 4:12 in the WEB:

There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

By calling on the name of Jesus Christ, you can access the power of God in your situation. If you have not already done so, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9-10 WEB says:

that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.

Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

May the Lord open the right doors for you and provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory. May He give you strength and peace during this time. May the Holy Spirit guide you and your family, and may your husband experience God's healing and comfort in his illness.

We will be praying for you and your family, that God will provide the job that He has for you. We encourage you to keep praying and trusting in the Lord, knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
