Prayer Warrior
Dear Brothers and Sisters, My family in Christ, please pray with me to Jesus, as praying together encourages us to pray. I have so little to get through the week. We have bad weather and the house leaks. It's an unsettled place with people who don't belong hanging around for immoral reasons. I am worried about my week and going ahead with self employment, although I'm glad to do this. I am working on exercises to strengthen me again, I had successful physical rehabilitation earlier on but can't afford more yet. I pray I will be able to eventually, because the neuromuscular therapist is nice, kind and honest and will do me a programme for an honest but kind price. I am anxious about being a whistleblower, half don't listen and turn away, the other half think you're bad for speaking up, and I'm anxious of the impact due to who I spoke up about, but I spoke because I'm worried about who will get hurt. Tomorrow is a normal day after a public holiday here, unfortunately instead of weekends and holidays being relaxing here, they are more unsettled, and then the weather is going to start bringing the rain into the house. There is one unsavoury person hanging around and I don't feel okay at all with him, he doesn't live here, he's taking advantage. I have no say as I am only a tenant and the landlord doesn't care about me. I pray that tomorrow I can wake early, make my walk to town even in the weather, and do some productive work. I pray that everything I'm lagging behind on, communication, study, other work, can be caught up, I get stressed trying to keep life running in poor conditions. I am sorry for my anger and the things I have said in anger, and for my fear when I should trust God, but it's hard, so hard.

We join with you in prayer to Jesus and we thank you for inviting us to pray together, for we know that where two or three are gathered in His name He is there among us. We hear the weight you are carrying this week, the strain of having little to get through on, the leaking house in bad weather, the unsettled atmosphere where people who do not belong linger for immoral reasons, and the anxiety about stepping out in self employment, about your physical strength and about speaking up as a whistleblower. We bring all of this before our Father in Jesus name, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and there is no other name by which we are saved, and we are grateful you have come to Him.

We are encouraged that you want to do what is right even when it is hard, and that you spoke up because you were worried about who would get hurt. The Lord sees this and He honors those who love truth and seek to protect others. Do not be anxious, for God says Be not afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. And we remember that the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1. When half turn away and half condemn you for speaking, remember that speaking the truth in love is pleasing to God. Ephesians 4:15. We pray God will be your defender and shield, that He will guard your reputation and your safety, and that He will bring justice in His perfect time, for He says Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19.

We also lift up your living situation to the Lord. It is grievous to have no peace at home, to have rain coming into the house, and to feel unsafe because an unsavoury person who does not live there is taking advantage while the landlord does not care. We pray for your protection and for God to be your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. We pray He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty and say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2. We ask the Lord to convict those who linger for immoral reasons and to cause them to depart, for we are called to come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord. 2 Corinthians 6:17 and to flee sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18. We pray the Lord will move upon your landlord to take responsibility with care, and if not, that the Lord will open a more settled and safe dwelling for you in His provision, for My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.

We pray for your daily needs and for your work. We thank God with you for the opportunity for self employment and for the desire to work productively, and we ask for His wisdom and establishment upon it. Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. We ask for wisdom as you navigate this, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We pray tomorrow you will be able to wake early, make your walk to town even in the weather safely, and do productive work, and that the Lord will help you catch up on all you are lagging behind in, communication, study and other work. We cast your burden on the Lord, for He says Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. Psalm 55:22 and In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

We thank God for your successful physical rehabilitation earlier and for the honest and kind neuromuscular therapist who will do you a programme for a kind and honest price. We pray the Lord will provide the means for you to continue when the time is right and will strengthen your body day by day, for He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29 and those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31. We pray your exercises now will bear fruit and that God will be your strength, for God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26.

You confessed your anger and words spoken in anger and your fear when you want to trust God, and we gently remind you that confession brings forgiveness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. Do not be condemned, for God understands how hard this is. Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, and do not give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27. We pray the Lord will help you to release anger and fear and to trust Him more each day, for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self control. 2 Timothy 1:7 and Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up our dear brother and sister to You, You know their need, their leaking home, their small provision for the week, their anxiety about work and about speaking truth. Lord, be their provider, be their shelter from the rain and from those who do wrong. Command the unsavoury influence to leave and bring peace to that house. Give wisdom and favor in self employment, establish the work of their hands and let it provide honestly and sufficiently. Give strength to their body, bless the exercises and the therapist, and provide for further treatment in Your timing. Guard their heart from fear and anger, forgive what was spoken in anger, and fill them with Your peace that passes understanding. Grant them early rising tomorrow, safety on the walk to town, protection in the weather, and grace to catch up on all that has fallen behind. Let tomorrow and the days ahead be ordered by You, and help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added. Matthew 6:33. Let them not be anxious for tomorrow, for each day has enough trouble of its own, but let them rest in You today. Matthew 6:34. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

Thank you for inviting us to pray with you. We hear how heavy this feels, trying to keep life going with little to get through the week, a leaking house, bad weather, and people hanging around who make you feel unsafe in your own home. It makes sense that you feel anxious and stretched thin, especially with self employment ahead and the weight of speaking up to protect others when it has cost you so much.

We admire your courage in speaking up because you were worried someone would get hurt, even when others turned away or judged you for it. And we hear both your gladness about working for yourself and the pressure of catching up on communication, study and other work while living in such unsettled conditions. It is understandable that anger and fear surface at times, you are not failing God for feeling them.

For tomorrow, it might help to make tonight as simple as possible. Lay out what you need for an early walk to town even if the weather is poor, and pick just one or two of the most urgent catch-up tasks to focus on first rather than trying to do everything at once. It may also help to keep a brief dated note with a photo if you can of when the rain comes in and when the person who does not live there is around, so you have a clear record if you need to raise it again with the landlord or seek local housing advice.

We are glad you had helpful rehabilitation before and have exercises to work on. Keep following what your therapist showed you, and when you are able do check back with your therapist or clinician about affordable next steps.

We pray for you now. Father, we lift our brother and sister to You in Jesus' name. Give rest tonight and strength for tomorrow morning, safety in this house, wisdom for work and for each conversation, and peace as You carry what feels too hard. Provide for each need this week and guide each step. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we join our hearts with yours in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ, who hears the sighing of the needy and gathers the prayers of His people together.

You have described a hard place to live, with little to get through the week, bad weather that brings the rain into a leaking house, and an unsettled dwelling where those who do not belong linger for immoral reasons. It is no small trial to feel unsafe where you should find rest, and to have no voice as a tenant when the landlord shows no care. The Lord sees this. He is the shelter for the poor and the refuge for the distressed, and we pray He will keep you safe from harm and from the unsavoury man who takes advantage, and that He will in His providence provide a more settled and peaceable habitation.

We also bring before Him your anxieties about work and daily bread. You are glad for self employment and desire to go forward in it, yet you feel the weight of all that lags behind, in communication and study and other labour, and the strain of trying to keep life running in poor conditions. You are working faithfully at exercises to strengthen your body after good rehabilitation, and you hope in time to afford further help from the honest and kind therapist. We pray the Lord will give you strength for each day, sustain your body, provide what is needed in His season, and grant you honest work and a diligent hand. As you desire to rise early and make your walk to town even in the weather and to be productive, we ask God to give you sleep, early rising, and a clear mind for the duties of tomorrow.

You have spoken honestly about your fear in being a whistleblower, that half will not listen and half will count you bad for speaking, and that you fear the impact because of who you spoke about, yet you spoke from concern for who might be hurt. To do what is right and true often brings this sharp fear of man, but the Scripture says the fear of man bringeth a snare, while the fear of God is a holy and filial fear that keeps us near to Him. We pray the Lord will vindicate what was done in conscience, guard you from retaliation, give wisdom for every next step, and let you rest in this, that to please Him is better than to please men.

You have confessed anger and words spoken in anger, and fear where you would rather have trusted God, and you find it so hard. Be assured that our Saviour receives the confessing sinner. If we have tasted His heavenly gift and have any true communion with His Spirit, He will not cast us away. He who began a good work will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Fear itself, when it drives us to greater dependence upon God and to caution and prayer, may be made a means to keep us, but anxious fear weakens us and dishonours the Lord who has said, Fear not, for I will help thee. The very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty, therefore we are charged to cast all our care upon Him, for He careth for you.

Let us pray together.

O Lord Jesus Christ, our only Saviour, we come to Thee for our brother and sister in this trial. Forgive anger and hasty words, and forgive unbelieving fear, and wash all sin away in Thy precious blood. Put Thy holy fear in this heart, that filial love may keep from departing from Thee, and keep this fear alive by Thy Word and by hearing and feeding upon it. Say Thou to this troubled soul, Fear not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God, I will help thee. Give provision for the week, cover the house from the storm, restrain evil and protect from those who do wrong, give favour or deliverance regarding the landlord, grant safety through the night and strength to wake early and walk and labour productively. Provide for bodily healing and for means to obtain further needful care, prosper honest work, and help to overtake what has fallen behind. Give peace to the conscience concerning speaking the truth, and let Thy will be done to protect the vulnerable. Keep this dear one persevering to the end, for Thou hast promised Thy saints shall never perish and that Thou wilt not withdraw Thy gift of eternal life. In Thy name we ask it, Amen.

Labour to cast your care upon Him anew each morning, be diligent in the Word which breathes holy fear and steadies the soul, and remember that He who has brought you into green pastures and made you taste still waters will not leave you. Fear not at all, for His promise stands, I will help thee, saith the Lord.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we join you in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ, who sees your need and hears your cry.

We pray for your daily provision in this week of hardship. You have little to get through the week, the weather is harsh and the house leaks, and you feel unsettled and unsafe where you live. We ask the Father in Jesus name to shelter you, to keep the rain from harming you, to protect you from those who do not belong there and who come for immoral reasons, and especially from the unsavoury person who takes advantage and makes you feel unsafe. We pray that God would move the heart of your landlord to act with care and justice, and that He would provide a safer and more peaceful place for you to live. We pray also that He would restrain evil and bring those who act immorally to repentance, and that He would guard you from harm.

We pray for your work and your walk to town tomorrow. We thank God that you desire to be diligent and to do productive work through self employment, and we ask Him to give you strength to rise early, to travel safely even in bad weather, and to have clarity and energy to catch up on communication, study and other work that has fallen behind. We ask Him to free you from the stress of trying to keep life running in poor conditions and to give you steady progress day by day.

We pray for your body. We thank God for the successful rehabilitation you have had, and we ask Him to continue to strengthen you as you do exercises on your own. We pray that in His provision He would open the way for you to receive further care from the neuromuscular therapist you described as kind and honest, at a price you can afford, and that He would restore your strength.

We pray for your burden as a whistleblower. It is painful when some turn away and do not listen and others think badly of you for speaking up, and it is right to feel anxious about the impact when the matter involves influential people. We pray that God would give you courage, wisdom and protection, that He would vindicate the truth, and that your speaking up out of concern for who might get hurt would indeed prevent harm. We ask Him to guard your heart from fear of people and to establish you in security and liberty in Christ, so that even when others reject the warning, you may be at peace knowing you have acted out of love for your neighbor.

You confessed anger and words spoken in anger, and fear when you long to trust God. We pray that you will know the forgiveness that is in Jesus Christ alone, who died and rose to cleanse us from sin. When you confess, He is faithful to forgive. We ask Him to replace fear with trust, and anxiety with confidence in His care for the future. He knows what tomorrow holds and He promises to be with you in it, so you do not need to meet it without warning or without help.

We encourage you to keep cultivating the beauty that does not fade, the inner life adorned with faith, patience, gentleness and hope in Christ, which no disease or anxiety or hard circumstance can wither. Watch and endure with perseverance, laboring faithfully in what God has given you to do, and cast all your anxiety upon Him because He cares for you.

May the Lord grant you rest tonight, safety tomorrow, strength for your walk and your work, protection in your home, healing for your body, peace for your conscience, and a deeper trust in His goodness through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
