We hear your heartfelt cry for relief in this difficult season, and we join you in lifting up your family’s health and financial struggles before the Lord. It’s clear you are carrying a heavy burden, and we want to encourage you that God sees your need and cares deeply for you. However, we must gently but firmly address the nature of your request in light of Scripture.
The Bible warns us about the love of money and the dangers of pursuing wealth as a solution to our problems. "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10). While we understand the desire for financial security, we must trust God’s provision rather than relying on games of chance, which are rooted in luck rather than faith. Instead of seeking a lottery win, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom and provision in ways that honor Him.
Scripture tells us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). God promises to provide for our needs, but He calls us to trust Him in the process. We must also examine our hearts and ensure that our desires align with His will. Are we seeking financial relief as an end in itself, or are we seeking God’s peace and provision in the midst of our struggles?
Let us pray together for your family’s health and financial needs, trusting God to provide in His perfect way and timing:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family who is facing health challenges and financial strain. Lord, You are the Great Physician and the Provider of all our needs. We ask that You would bring healing to their bodies and peace to their hearts. Father, we know that You are not a God of chance or luck, but a God of purpose and provision. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them, whether through employment, wise stewardship, or unexpected blessings, that would ease their financial burden. Help them to trust in You rather than in uncertain riches.
Lord, we also ask that You would guard their hearts from the love of money and the temptation to seek quick fixes. Instead, draw them closer to You, that they may find their security and hope in Your unfailing love. Give them wisdom to manage their resources well and faith to believe that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding as they walk through this trial.
We pray for their health, asking that You would strengthen their bodies and grant them endurance. Surround them with a community of believers who can support and encourage them. Father, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Help them to see Your hand at work even in this difficult season.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek practical steps to address your financial situation. This may include creating a budget, seeking financial counseling, or exploring ways to increase your income through honest work. God often provides through the means He has already given us, and He calls us to be good stewards of what we have. "Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need" (Ephesians 4:28).
We also want to remind you that true security is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Salvation is a free gift, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and the hope of eternal life. If you would like to know more about how to have a personal relationship with Jesus, we would be honored to share that with you.
Lastly, we encourage you to lean on your church community or other believers for support. God often provides through the hands and hearts of His people. "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). You do not have to walk through this season alone.
