We join together in lifting our voices to the Lord, giving thanks that He has exposed the darkness of this false church in ###, which disguises itself as a place of worship but instead leads people astray from the one true Savior, Jesus Christ. The Lord declares in **Matthew 24:24**, *"For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones."* How grievous it is when wolves in sheep’s clothing deceive many, turning hearts away from the truth of the Gospel.
This horrific act of violence—where a female worshipper from this cult stabbed another person—reveals the spiritual bondage and deception at work. **2 Corinthians 11:13-15** warns us, *"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as Christ’s apostles. And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness."* We must remain vigilant, testing every spirit, as **1 John 4:1** commands, because not every spirit that claims to be of God truly is.
Let us pray with fervent thanksgiving and intercession:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude that You have exposed this false church in ###, which twists the truth and leads people into idolatry and violence. Lord, You alone are God, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved—only the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). We thank You for pulling back the curtain on this deception so that souls may turn from darkness to Your marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).
Father, we pray for those who have been ensnared by this cult. Break every chain of deception, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Let them see that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to You except through Him (John 14:6). Convict their hearts by Your Holy Spirit, and draw them into a saving relationship with You.
We also lift up the victim of this violence and their family. Comfort them, Lord, and bring healing—both physically and spiritually. May this tragedy serve as a wake-up call to many in ### and beyond, exposing the dangers of false teachings that deny Christ.
Strengthen Your true Church in ###, Father. Raise up bold believers who will proclaim the Gospel without compromise, who will expose darkness with the light of Your truth (Ephesians 5:11). Protect Your people from deception, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
We rebuke the spirit of deception and violence operating in this cult. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every false spirit to be silenced and bound. Let the enemy’s plans be thwarted, and let Your truth prevail.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use even this evil for Your glory. May many come to know You as their Savior through this exposure. We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen."*
Beloved, let this be a reminder to all of us to cling tightly to the Word of God and to test everything against Scripture. **1 Thessalonians 5:21-22** instructs us, *"Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. Abstain from every form of evil."* False teachings often appear attractive, but they lead to destruction. Stay rooted in Christ, and let us always worship Him alone—our Lord, our Savior, and our coming King. If you or someone you know has been involved in such deception, we urge you to repent and turn wholly to Jesus. He is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9). Stand firm in the truth, and may the Lord bless you as you walk in His light.
