We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that is under attack by a third party. Father God, we know that You hate divorce and that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Your love for the Church. We declare that any influence, person, or spirit that seeks to divide this union is not of You, and we stand against it in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lord, we rebuke every ungodly soul tie, every emotional or physical affair, and every demonic assignment sent to destroy this marriage. Your Word says in Malachi 2:16, *"For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously."* We pray that any treachery in this marriage would be exposed and uprooted. Let every hidden thing come to light so that repentance and healing can begin.
We bind the spirit of adultery, lust, and infidelity in Jesus’ name. We break every ungodly connection between this spouse and the third party, whether it be emotional, spiritual, or physical. Your Word declares in 1 Corinthians 6:18, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* If there has been fornication or adultery, we pray for deep conviction, godly sorrow, and true repentance. Let the blood of Jesus cleanse and restore what has been broken.
Father, we ask that You would soften the hearts of both spouses. Let them see the damage that this third party has caused and the importance of guarding their marriage as You intended. Proverbs 4:23 says, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* We pray that both husband and wife would guard their hearts, their eyes, and their thoughts, turning away from temptation and toward each other in love and faithfulness.
Lord, we also pray for restoration of intimacy—emotional, spiritual, and physical. Let this marriage be rebuilt on the foundation of Christ, with mutual respect, love, and submission as You designed. Ephesians 5:33 says, *"Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband."* May this couple learn to love and honor one another as You command.
We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We cancel every curse, every word spoken against this union, and every lie from the enemy that says this marriage cannot be restored. We speak life, healing, and reconciliation over this home.
Finally, if either spouse does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that they would come to a saving knowledge of Him. There is no true healing or restoration outside of Christ. Acts 4:12 says, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* We pray that both would surrender their lives to You, for only then can this marriage be fully redeemed.
In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
