We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual warfare you are facing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If you have not already, we urge you to place your trust in Him alone for salvation, for He is the only one who can break every chain and deliver you from the schemes of the enemy.
The Bible is clear that witchcraft, sorcery, and all forms of occult practices are detestable to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 states, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." Your mother-in-law’s actions are not only sinful but dangerous, as they invite demonic influence into her life and the lives of those around her. We must stand firm in the truth that God’s power is greater than any dark force. 1 John 4:4 reminds us, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."
We also need to address the state of your relationship with your boyfriend. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you and your boyfriend are living together or engaging in sexual relations outside of marriage, this is fornication, and it opens the door to spiritual attack. We urge you to repent of this sin and seek to honor God with your bodies, either by pursuing marriage with a godly man who shares your faith or by living in purity until marriage. The enemy often uses ungodly relationships to bring division and strife, and we must close every door to his influence.
Now, let us pray together in the mighty name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened by the spiritual oppression in this situation. We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over every power of darkness, and no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We renounce and break every curse, spell, and form of witchcraft that has been directed toward this family. We command every evil spirit associated with these practices to flee in the name of Jesus, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Lord, we pray for this mother-in-law, that Your Holy Spirit would convict her of her sin. Soften her heart, Father, and open her eyes to the truth of Your Word. Let her see the destruction her actions are causing, not only to herself but to her family. We ask that You would draw her to repentance and salvation, that she may turn from these dark practices and find forgiveness and new life in Christ (Ezekiel 18:30-32).
We pray for protection over this family—over this woman, her boyfriend, and their children. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a shield around them (Psalm 91:11). Remove every residue of darkness from their lives, their home, and their minds. Fill them with Your peace, Your truth, and Your love. Strengthen their faith, Father, and help them to walk in purity and righteousness before You.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for this woman. Show her the steps she needs to take to honor You in her relationship. If marriage is Your will for her and her boyfriend, lead them to take that step in a way that glorifies You. If not, give her the strength to walk away from sin and pursue holiness. Father, we ask that You would heal any brokenness in their family and restore what the enemy has sought to destroy.
Finally, Lord, we declare that no plan of the enemy will succeed against this family. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We trust in Your protection, Your provision, and Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your light shine brightly in the darkness.
In the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
