We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear sister in Christ, as you face these critical exams in your nursing program. The weight of grief from losing your oldest sister unexpectedly, coupled with the demands of your studies, is no small burden to carry. We stand with you in prayer, believing that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees your tears, your exhaustion, and your determination to honor Him even in this season of sorrow.
Father God, we ask that You grant our sister clarity of mind and peace that surpasses all understanding as she prepares to take these exams. Calm every anxious thought and still every racing heartbeat, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen her memory and recall, Lord, so that the knowledge she has studied would rise to the surface when she needs it most. We declare that the peace of God, which guards hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, will be her portion (Philippians 4:7).
We also ask that You would comfort her deeply in her grief. The loss of her sister is a profound wound, and we pray that You would bind up her broken heart (Psalm 147:3). Surround her with Your love and the support of fellow believers who can walk alongside her in this difficult time. Help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). May this trial draw her closer to You, Lord, and may she find strength in Your presence.
We rebuke the spirit of distraction and discouragement that may be trying to steal her focus or confidence. In the name of Jesus, we declare that she is more than a conqueror through Him who loves her (Romans 8:37). We pray for favor in her exams, that she would not only pass but excel, achieving the grades she needs to move forward with confidence in her calling. May this term be a fresh start, marked by Your grace and provision.
Lord, we also ask that You would continue to guide her steps as she pursues this noble profession. Nursing is a calling that requires compassion, skill, and wisdom—qualities that come from You. Equip her to be a light in the healthcare field, reflecting Your love and healing to those she serves. May her work bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We thank You, Father, for the privilege of standing in the gap for our sister. We trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), even in the midst of grief and academic pressure. Strengthen her faith, renew her hope, and fill her with Your joy as she leans on You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
