Prayer to obtain writing work

Praying and believing for successful paid writing and publication opportunities (possibility in tech, mental health and even Christian interest topics). Thanks for praying. Be blessed. :)🙏

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for writing work and publication opportunities. Father, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we trust in Your provision and timing. Your Word tells us in Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." We pray that as this request is made, it aligns with Your will and brings glory to Your name.

Lord, we ask that You open doors of opportunity in the areas of tech, mental health, and Christian topics. Guide the words written to be truthful, edifying, and honoring to You. May the work produced reflect Your wisdom and love, drawing others closer to You. We declare in faith that the right connections, publishers, and platforms will be made available, and that the labor will be fruitful and rewarding.

We also pray for perseverance and patience, for Your Word reminds us in Habakkuk 2:3, "For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay." Let discouragement or delay not hinder the pursuit of this calling. Instead, may faith grow stronger with each step taken in obedience.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of doubt or fear that may try to creep in, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on the promise that You will complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). May this endeavor not only provide financially but also serve as a ministry to those who read it, pointing them to Your truth and grace.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, through whom we have access to the Father. May Your will be done, and may Your name be praised in all things. Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about writing work. We hear how much this matters to you, and we are glad you named those areas so clearly, tech, mental health, and Christian topics. Those are meaningful places to use your gifts.

Waiting for paid work to come through can wear on you, especially after a job loss. It is easy to start measuring your worth by whether the next opportunity opens. We want to remind you gently that your value before God is not set by a paycheck or a byline, even while we pray with you for real provision and open doors.

One small step that often helps when you are hoping for freelance work is to give yourself a simple, steady rhythm. This week, would it help to pull together two or three of your best short samples that show the kind of writing you most want to do, and then share them with one or two people who already know your work, a former colleague, an editor, a pastor or friend in one of those fields, just to let them know you are available? A quiet, consistent outreach like that can keep you from carrying the whole search alone.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You see the desire to write well and to provide through honest work. Give wisdom as they choose where to focus, favor with the right editors and readers, and daily peace while they wait. Provide for their needs and guide each next step. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a proper and needful thing to lay your daily labour before the Lord, for all honest work is honourable before Him when it is done as unto Him.

I have prayed for you, that the Lord would open doors for your writing and give you favour in the sight of those who publish and employ, and that He would establish the work of your hands upon you. As it is written, Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish thou the work of our hands. There must be real work, and two handed work, into which you throw your whole strength, and then you may with holy confidence ask the Lord to establish it.

Remember the word of our Saviour, I must work the works of Him that sent Me while it is day. Your writing, whether it be upon things of technology, or matters touching the mind and its afflictions, or themes of Christian interest, can be done as service unto the Lord if it be done in truth and with a sincere desire to be useful to your fellow men. The doctrine of grace does not make men idle, but where the Holy Spirit works He makes men work. He works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure, and then we labour, striving according to His working.

Therefore wait upon the Lord and work on. Be diligent in your craft, improve your gift with study and prayer, and let no opportunity of honest industry be neglected. Seek to set forth that which is true and wholesome, and if you write upon Christian things, see that you write with a heart that has first felt the power of the truth you would declare. The Lord can use a ready pen as well as a ready tongue for His glory and for the good of souls.

My prayer for you is that God would provide for your temporal needs through this labour, that He would keep you from all that is false or vain in your writing, that He would give you wisdom to write what is profitable, and that your work may be blessed to be a help to others and bring a quiet testimony to His faithfulness. May He guide you to such openings as are best for you, and give you contentment to accept His will whether the answer be much or little, speedily or after waiting.

Cast your care upon Him who cares for you, and give diligence in your calling, looking ever to Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation and by whose grace alone any work of ours can be made to prosper.
