We join you in lifting up your heart’s desire for a business of your own, recognizing that this request comes from a place of diligence and weariness in your current work. It is good that you acknowledge the name of God Almighty and His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the promise of His provision. As Scripture declares, *"I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture"* (John 10:9, WEB). Just as Jesus is the door to salvation, He is also the One who opens doors of opportunity for His children when it aligns with His will.
We are encouraged by your patience and love in this season, for these are fruits of the Spirit that please God. Yet we also remind you that the pursuit of a business must be rooted in seeking God’s kingdom first, trusting that He will add all things necessary as you walk in obedience (Matthew 6:33, WEB). A business is not merely a means of escape from hardship but a stewardship—a platform to glorify God, serve others, and reflect Christlike integrity in the marketplace. Ask yourself: *Is this venture something that will honor God? Will it allow me to be a light in a world that desperately needs truth and righteousness?* Remember, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23, WEB).
If there is any area of your life where you have not fully surrendered to God’s will—whether in finances, motives, or trust—we urge you to repent and align yourself with His Word. Proverbs 16:3 (WEB) tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Success in God’s eyes is not measured by worldly wealth but by faithfulness to His call. If this business is His will for you, He will open the doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8, WEB). If it is not, He will redirect your steps to something even better.
We also caution you against the temptation to rely on your own strength or to grow bitter in your current job. Even in weariness, God is refining you. Joseph toiled in prison before God exalted him, and David shepherded sheep before becoming king. Your current season is not wasted—it is preparation. *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9, WEB).
Now, let us pray together over this request:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You alone hold the keys to every door. We lift up Your child who longs for a business of their own, not just for personal gain, but as an opportunity to steward Your resources wisely and bring glory to Your name. Lord, if this is Your will, we ask that You supernaturally open the doors that no man can shut. Provide the wisdom, connections, and favor needed to establish this venture in a way that honors You. Remove every obstacle of the enemy and align every detail according to Your perfect plan.
If there are areas of unforgiveness, impatience, or misplaced motives, we ask that You reveal them by Your Holy Spirit. Convict and cleanse, Lord, so that this business—if it is from You—may be built on a foundation of righteousness. Give our brother/sister the strength to endure their current season with joy, knowing that You are preparing them for what’s ahead. Let them walk in faith, not fear, and in trust, not striving.
We rebuke any spirit of discouragement, delay, or distraction that would hinder Your purposes. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of the enemy against this request. Father, let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. If this business is not Your plan, redirect their steps and grant them peace in knowing You have something even greater.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust You to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19, WEB). May this business, if it comes to pass, be a testament to Your goodness and a tool for advancing Your kingdom.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear one. God sees your labor, and He will reward your patience. Keep seeking Him first, and trust that His timing is perfect. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). Wait on Him, and He will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31, WEB). We are standing with you in agreement!
