Help with leaving stressful career and starting own business

I have been working in a field I enjoy but I am completely burnt out. I have had awful experiences at my last few jobs that changed me. I'm not who I was before. I love working with my patients and helping them, but I'm exhausted. I have a hard time seeing them for their full session time because I want to get out of there as fast as I can. I wasn't this way 2.5 years ago when I started this type of work. It is a great (short term temp) job that is well paying, but I am so tired. I'm exhausted from everything I have been through.

I have a brilliant idea for a product, nothing like this exists and I know it will help a lot of people. I want to start a business and get funding to make it, but it feels impossible because of trying to get money because of my bad credit. I'm so bad with financial and admin stuff, but I know that if it is God's will He will help me.

I want to feel Jesus near to comfort me through my current exhaustion. I don't want to lose my joy or not help my current patients as much as they need. I feel God wants to bless me with getting this product made, only if it is His will.

In Your name I pray, amen.

We hear your cry for help and recognize the weight of exhaustion and burnout you are carrying. It is clear that the past few years have taken a toll on your spirit, mind, and body, and we stand with you in seeking God’s guidance, healing, and provision. You are not alone in this struggle, and we lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to renew your strength and direct your steps according to His perfect will.

First, we want to acknowledge the love and compassion you have for your patients. It is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s heart to serve others, and we pray that God will sustain you in this season so that you may continue to minister to them with the joy and energy they deserve. The weariness you feel is real, and it is not wrong to seek a change when your current path is no longer sustainable. Scripture reminds us in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." Jesus invites you to lay your burdens at His feet and trust Him to carry you through this season of transition.

We also want to encourage you in the vision God has placed on your heart for this product. If this idea is from the Lord, He will make a way for it to come to fruition. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." However, we must also caution you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and timing in this endeavor. Starting a business is a significant step, and it requires not only financial provision but also spiritual discernment. We pray that God will open doors for funding and surround you with wise counselors who can help you navigate the practical aspects of this journey. Remember, God’s provision is not limited by your credit score or financial struggles. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

We also want to gently address the exhaustion and frustration you are experiencing in your current role. It is important to guard your heart and mind against bitterness or resentment, as these can steal your joy and hinder your ability to serve others well. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Even in difficult circumstances, we are called to work as unto the Lord, trusting that He sees our efforts and will reward our faithfulness.

We also encourage you to seek rest and renewal in the Lord. Burnout is often a sign that we have been relying on our own strength rather than God’s. Psalm 23:2-3 says, "He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul." Take time to rest in the Lord, to pray, and to seek His face. Allow Him to restore your soul and renew your passion for the work He has called you to do, whether that is in your current field or in this new venture.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister in Christ, lifting up her exhaustion, her dreams, and her desire to serve You faithfully. Lord, we ask that You would renew her strength and fill her with Your peace. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her. Father, we pray for her current work, give her the energy and compassion to serve her patients well, even in this season of weariness. May she find joy in the work of her hands and see the fruit of her labor as a blessing from You.

Lord, we also lift up the vision You have placed on her heart for this product. If it is Your will, we ask that You would open doors for funding, provide wise counsel, and guide her steps as she pursues this endeavor. Give her the wisdom to manage the financial and administrative aspects of this business, and surround her with people who can support and encourage her. If this is not Your timing, Lord, we ask that You would close the doors gently and redirect her path according to Your perfect plan.

Father, we pray for her spiritual renewal. Draw near to her in this season of exhaustion and fill her with Your presence. Restore her joy, her passion, and her hope in You. Help her to trust in Your provision and to seek Your face above all else. May she find rest in You and be refreshed by Your Spirit.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who alone can bring healing, provision, and peace. Amen.

In closing, we want to encourage you to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Allow Him to speak to you through Scripture and to guide your steps. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray for you, encourage you, and hold you accountable as you navigate this season of change. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not abandon you in this journey. Trust in Him, and He will direct your path.

I am praying for your strong faith and trust in Jesus. I am praying that you will let God do what only He can do because He is a way maker and a promise keeper. I am praying for you to receive energy from the Holy Spirit and that your finances will increase to a level which you never imagine. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen

We hear the exhaustion in your words and feel the weight of what you're carrying. It makes sense that you'd want to protect your heart right now, after all you've been through, it's not hard to see why this season feels so heavy. God hasn't forgotten how you used to pour yourself into your work with joy, and He certainly hasn't stopped seeing your gifts for helping others.

That idea for a product keeps coming to mind for a reason. If it's truly from Him, the path will become clearer even when it feels impossible. We know credit scores can feel like roadblocks, but God specializes in moving mountains for His purposes. What matters most is staying open to His leading, even if that means taking things one step at a time.

Most of all, we pray you'd feel His nearness in this weariness, that He'd wrap His arms around you when the days feel too long and that He'd restore the peace that so many things in this world try to steal. You're not meant to carry this alone, and He's already working behind the scenes on your behalf.

Lord, meet us in this place of exhaustion and unmet dreams. Hold this precious heart close and remind them they are seen, loved, and never abandoned. Bring practical provision for this business dream if it's Your will, and surround them with people who can help turn this vision into reality. Heal the parts of them that have been hardened by hurt, and renew their strength for whatever comes next. Let them sleep deeply knowing You're watching over their dreams. Fill their mind with Your truth when fear creeps in. We ask all this in the name of Jesus.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer these past days. Your honesty about the exhaustion and the weight of your current season touched us deeply, and we have lifted you before the Lord, asking Him to renew your strength and restore your joy.

We prayed specifically for clarity in this transition—both for the courage to step away from what has left you drained and for the wisdom to move forward into the vision God has placed on your heart. It is clear He has given you a compassionate heart for your patients and a creative mind for this product that could bless many. We asked the Lord to make His nearness tangible to you, to remind you that He sees every burden you carry and every dream He has planted within you.

If He has already begun to answer—perhaps through moments of peace, unexpected provision, or even a shift in perspective—we would love to celebrate with you! Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together. If the path still feels uncertain or the exhaustion lingers, we want to continue standing with you. Consider this an invitation to post your request again, and we will keep lifting you up, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot yet see it.

Above all, we prayed that you would feel His love wrapping around you, that you would sense His presence in the weariness, and that He would guide each step toward the purpose He has for you. May He grant you rest for your soul, favor in your endeavors, and the assurance that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
