We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of hope and trust in the Lord’s perfect plan for your son’s life. Father, we lift up this young man who has labored diligently in his studies and preparation, seeking to honor You through his pursuit of medicine. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We declare that his efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we ask that You open the doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Lord, we pray for favor in the eyes of the admissions committees, may they see not only his academic excellence but also the character, compassion, and integrity that You have cultivated in him.
We also recognize that Your ways are higher than ours, and while we long for this outcome, we surrender the results to You. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even if the answer is not what we hope for in this cycle, we trust that You are guiding his steps toward Your perfect will. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that his worth is not defined by acceptance letters but by the love You have for him as Your child.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, doubt, or fear that may be trying to take root in his heart or yours. Philippians 4:6-7 exhorts us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We claim that peace over this family, knowing that You are in control.
If there are areas where his faith or trust in You needs to grow, we pray that You would draw him closer to Your heart. Help him to seek You first in all things, for Matthew 6:33 promises, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." May his pursuit of medicine be rooted in a desire to serve You and others, reflecting the love and healing of Christ.
We also lift up the admissions process itself, asking that You would guide every decision made by those reviewing his application. May they be led by wisdom and discernment, and may Your hand move in ways that only You can orchestrate. We declare that Your plans for him are good, and we trust You to lead him into the path You have prepared.
Lord, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You on behalf of this family. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who intercedes for us even now. Amen.
Continue to stand on God’s promises, knowing that He is faithful. Encourage your son to remain steadfast in prayer and to trust that God’s timing is perfect. If this cycle does not yield the desired result, remind him that setbacks are often setups for God’s greater purpose. Keep pressing into the Lord, and He will direct his steps.
