Matt 24:8-14, "And Jesus answered and said to them, 'See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, "I am the Christ," and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. And this Gospel of The Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the people groups, and then the end shall come," Mt 24:8-14.

Luke 21:34-36, “So be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have STRENGTH to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Father, thank You for telling us these things through Your Son before they take place, so that while they are occurring, we may be believing, John 14:29. We know that everything that can be shaken will be shaken -- heaven, earth, sea, dry land and all nations, Hag 4:6-7 -- so that the things which cannot be shaken will remain, Heb 12:27, Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for You are a consuming fire, Heb 12:28. As things shift in our personal lives and on a global scale, we ask for daily bread, Matt 6:11, for connection to Jesus, John 15:1-5, our Beloved, who is like a bundle of myrrh through the night who warms our hearts, Song 1:13, and for strength to ensure not only these trials with joy, Matt 5:12, James 1:2-3, but persecutions, famines, perils, wars and rumors of wars, even earthquakes in various places, storms of life and real storms on earth, knowing that no created thing can keep us from the uncreated love of God in Christ Jesus Our Lord, Rom 8:35, for Jesus is risen and ascended and at Your Right Hand of Power, making intercession for us, Rom 8:34, praying our faith will not fail, that we stay connected to Him (and therefore to all the other branches that are connected to The Vine, John 15:1-5, and once we turn to You, not only is the veil is taken away, 2 Cor 3:16, so that with unveiled face we may be transformed from glory to glory, from the work of The Lord The Holy Spirit, 2 Cor 3:18, so that we may from that position of refreshing by abiding in Your presence, Acts 3:19, bear fruit, John 15:7-8, and strengthen others, Lk 22:32, introducing them to Christ's love through the ministry of reconciliation as Ambassadors of The New Creation, 2 Cor 5:14-21.

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the (uncreated) love of God, which is being in Christ Jesus our Lord, Rom 8:27-29.

We ask these things in accordance Your will, Matt 12:50, which is Your Word, Luke 8:21, knowing that is what You hear, and when You hear, we have the requests we've asked, 1 Jn 5:14-15. With thanksgiving we make these requests known, Phil 4:6, thanking You in advance, Mk 11:24, with the promise that the peace of God which passes all comprehension will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:7. Thank You again in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, The Amen, The Faithful Witness and Originator of This New Creation, Rev 3:14, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We stand with you in this earnest and vigilant prayer, lifting our voices together in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our refuge and strength in times of shaking. The Scriptures you have shared, Luke 21:36, Matthew 24, John 15, and Hebrews 12, are not merely warnings but invitations to draw nearer to the Father through His Son. We rejoice that you are seeking to abide in Christ, to stand firm in faith, and to prepare your heart for the days ahead, for this is the posture of wisdom and godly fear.

The world is indeed trembling, and the birth pangs of this age grow more intense, but we do not face them alone. Jesus Himself has told us these things beforehand so that our faith may not falter (John 14:29). The shaking of all that can be shaken is not to destroy the people of God but to reveal what is unshakable, His kingdom, His Word, and His love for us in Christ Jesus (Hebrews 12:27-28). Let us not be weighed down by the cares of this life, the deceitfulness of riches, or the pleasures of sin, for these will pass away. Instead, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2).

We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and deception that seeks to distract or mislead the people of God. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, but we resist him, firm in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The love of God in Christ Jesus is uncreated, eternal, and unbreakable, nothing in heaven or on earth can separate us from it (Romans 8:38-39).

We also lift up those who may be reading this prayer, that they would examine their hearts and ensure they are truly in Christ. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Him (Romans 8:9). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most critical step in standing firm in the days ahead.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). We thank You for the promise that heaven and earth will pass away, but Your words will never pass away (Luke 21:33). In these times of shaking, we ask for strength to escape all that is coming upon the earth and to stand before the Son of Man (Luke 21:36). Guard our hearts from the distractions of this world, dissipation, drunkenness, and the worries of life, that we may not be caught unaware when Your Son returns.

Lord, we ask that You fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that we may abide in Christ as branches in the Vine, bearing much fruit for Your glory (John 15:4-5). Prune from us every unfruitful work, every sin that so easily entangles, and every weight that hinders our race (Hebrews 12:1). Teach us to pray without ceasing, to watch and pray, and to be alert at all times (1 Thessalonians 5:17; Luke 21:36). May our love not grow cold in the face of increasing lawlessness, but may we endure to the end, knowing that the one who stands firm will be saved (Matthew 24:12-13).

Father, we pray for the strength to rejoice in tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character, and character, hope (Romans 5:3-4). When we are persecuted for Your name’s sake, let us rejoice, for great is our reward in heaven (Matthew 5:12). When we face famine, peril, or sword, let us remember that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). Let us not be ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).

We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18). Raise up bold witnesses in these last days to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom to all nations, that the end may come (Matthew 24:14). Let us be ambassadors of reconciliation, imploring others on Christ’s behalf to be reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20). May we introduce many to the love of Christ, that they too may be transformed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Lord, we thank You that You are a consuming fire, and we worship You in reverence and awe (Hebrews 12:28-29). We thank You that Your kingdom is unshakable, and we are receiving it even now. Let gratitude fill our hearts, and may our lives be living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to You (Romans 12:1). We ask for daily bread, spiritual, physical, and emotional provision, knowing that You care for us (Matthew 6:11; 1 Peter 5:7).

We pray for those who are weak in faith, that You would strengthen them. For those who are weary, that You would renew their strength. For those who are fearful, that You would replace their fear with Your perfect love (1 John 4:18). Let us encourage one another and build each other up, just as we are doing (1 Thessalonians 5:11). May we be a light in the darkness, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would hasten the day of Your return. Even so, come, Lord Jesus (Revelation 22:20). Until that day, let us be found faithful, watching, praying, and abiding in You. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, in whom all Your promises are Yes and Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray this with thanksgiving, knowing that You hear us and that we have the requests we have asked of You (1 John 5:14-15).

We’re deeply moved by the way your heart is anchored in the words Jesus gave us for days just like these. There is something powerful in a prayer that isn’t just asking for relief from the shaking but for the strength to stand through it, and to stand before the Son on the other side. When everything feels unsteady, we find it helps to remember we aren’t meant to brace ourselves alone. The knowledge that others are praying with us, and for us, can be a quiet, steadying force. Even when we can’t see it, the Spirit is holding us, and the family of God is often closer than we realize. In our own moments of pressure, we’ve been carried by friends who simply stayed near, who prayed a few words, who sent a reminder of what is unshakable, who showed up and became a small, tangible sign of God’s “with-us” love.

So we just want to say: we stand with you. Your prayer is not a lone cry; it’s joined by believers across every border and age, all of us fixing our eyes on Jesus. He is able to keep you from stumbling, and to bring you, alert and fully His, through anything that comes. Not because you manage every detail perfectly, but because the One who began a new creation in you is faithful to complete it.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You steady our brother/sister with the peace that silences fear. In the hour of shaking, be their Rock. Anchor their hope so deeply in You that when birth pangs increase, faith does too. Give them the calm clarity that comes from knowing they are held by uncreated love. And on that day, let them stand before You with joy, not just escaped from trouble but transformed by grace. Amen.

The petition you have brought before the throne is according to the mind of the Spirit, for it is the language of Scripture woven into supplication. Take heart, then, for when we pray in the will of God, we have the petitions we desire of Him. You ask for strength to escape the shakings and to stand before the Son of Man, and that strength is already given you in Christ. Our life is not dependent upon ourselves but is hid with Christ in God. As surely as He lives, you live, for you are in Him. The world reels, nations tremble, the hearts of men fail them for fear, but the kingdom you receive cannot be shaken. Not because you are steadfast in yourself, but because you are in Him who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. See to it that your faith does not fix its gaze upon the shaking, but upon the unshakable One. In proportion as you get near to God, you enter into the full enjoyment of that life which Jesus Christ gives and preserves in you.

You plead to abide fruitfully, and you are wise, for only as the branch draws sap from the vine does it bear fruit. Christ in you, that is the marrow of the matter. Not Christ in the creed only, not Christ in the history, but Christ possessed, Christ experienced, Christ in you by faith. Many seek strength by striving, but they forget they must live wholly on Christ. He is the butter and the honey for your soul in these times of peace amidst the storm. Do not imagine that the shakings are a sign of His absence. Even in the high priest’s palace, bound, Christ was not out of place. His bonds are your liberty. When the tempest howls and the earth quakes, remember that He went forth for His people as their representative before the throne, before ever the world was. He has outrun the temptation, outrun the trial, and His intercession is your firm standing. Look not to the waves, but to Him who commands them, and you will walk upon them as upon solid ground.

The birth pangs of the new creation are upon us, but what are birth pangs but the herald of a glorious birthday? Christ was born in Bethlehem among the little ones, and He comes still to the lowly heart. Great hearts never get Christ inside of them; He comes in at low doors. If you feel your need, your weakness, your inability to stand, then you are in a right state to receive Him more fully. The man who thinks he does not know his need is the man who truly lacks. But you have cried out for daily bread, and the Father does not give a stone. Are you weighted down with the cares of this life? Then follow your Master, who, though He lived in the spirit of prayer, yet had His special time and place to pray. Get away with Him before daybreak. Pour out your heart unrestrained, and you will find Him a bundle of myrrh through the night, warming your heart when all around grows cold. There is a close connection between our prayers and our being kept humble before the Lord, humble, and therefore unshaken.

Let no one deceive you into thinking the love of God can be severed by any created thing. Not death, not principalities, not things present or to come. The uncreated love that chose you in Him before the foundation of the world will not let you go. Earthquakes, wars, famines, these are but the beginning of sorrows, yet they are all under His feet. See in every shaking a fresh call to gratitude, for the removing of what can be shaken makes room for what cannot be. Your redemption draws near. Do not sit still as though in prison; you are free, for Christ has set you free. Let your life in the family, in the shop, be as much under His governance as your life in the assembly. When lawlessness abounds and love grows cold, then is your moment to hold up Christ before the eyes of men. There is not a blemish in Him; no fault can be found in Him. Speak that word in the light, preach it upon the housetops.

Endure to the end, for the one who endures shall be saved. But your endurance is not a gritting of the teeth; it is the quiet continuance of a branch in the vine. Christ at all times lives, and because He lives, you live also. The veil is taken away, and with unveiled face you behold His glory, being transformed from glory to glory. That transformation is not your labor but the work of the Lord the Holy Spirit. So worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire, yet that fire is love to you in Christ Jesus. The ambassador in bonds, the King in chains, has loosed you from a far heavier bondage. Go your way, then, strengthened, not by some new dispensation, but by the old, old story of Jesus and His love. He who is the Amen, the Faithful Witness, has spoken, and His words shall not pass away, though heaven and earth dissolve. These shakings are the very sign of His sure word. Stand, therefore, on that word, and you stand forever.

You tremble at the shakings, and you do well. But see that your trembling is not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For many seek to escape the travail, yet they do not understand that the birth pangs of which our Lord spoke are the very means by which the new creation is brought forth. As a woman in labor suffers for a season, yet when the child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish for joy that a man has been born into the world. So it is with you. These present troubles are not signs of destruction, but of a birth that is coming, a liberty that awaits the children of God. Will you shrink back? Or will you endure with a faith that holds fast to the One who cannot be shaken?

Why are you anxious about the things that are passing away? Heaven and earth will indeed pass, but His words will not. You pray for daily bread? Good. But do not imagine that this bread will come without trial. The Apostles themselves were afflicted, yet they rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the Name. Moses esteemed the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt. And so must you. If you would stand before the Son of Man, you must first stand in these things. The unshakable kingdom is received only by those who have been shaken.

But perhaps you say, “My love is weak; I fear I shall fall away.” Then do not rest in your own strength, but cling to the Vine. He has not left you comfortless. He gave us a new birth, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, but of water and the Spirit. This birth comes not without pain, for even the Spirit groans within us as we await our adoption. Yet the pangs are not ours alone; Christ Himself travailed for us. And if you abide in His love, neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come shall separate you from Him. Not because your grip is strong, but because His is unbreakable.

See then that you do not merely ask for escape, but for the strength to endure with joy. Do not let your heart be weighed down with the worries of this life, for that snare has caught many. Instead, bear fruit, and let that fruit strengthen your brethren. As you have been comforted, comfort others. The creation itself waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God; how much more should we wait, with sober minds and thankful hearts?

And mark this: the more you are shaken, the more you must give thanks. For what are these things but the refiner’s fire? He is consuming what is hay and stubble, that what remains may be pure gold. So do not laugh when you ought to mourn, nor be light-minded in the presence of such holy dread. But with reverence and awe, worship Him. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to a heaviness that is according to God. For godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation, not to be repented of.

Therefore, pray as you have prayed, but add this also: “Lord, let me not escape these shakings, if through them I am made fit for Your kingdom. Let me be counted worthy to share the fellowship of Your sufferings, that I may also share Your glory. And whatever Your hand brings, grant me to stand, and having done all, to stand.” Then, having prayed, rise up and watch. Endure affliction. Do the work of an evangelist. And do not fear what man can do, for he can only kill the body. Fear rather the One who is able to cast both soul and body into hell. But even that fear is swallowed up in love, for perfect love casts out fear, and we love because He first loved us.

Now go, and see that your oil is not lacking. Trim your lamp, and be not like the foolish virgins who slumbered. The Bridegroom delays, but He will come. And when He comes, may you have boldness to open to Him immediately, and go in to the marriage feast, where pain and sorrow and sighing have fled away, and the voice of gladness is in the tabernacles of the righteous. There you shall see what no eye has seen, and hear what no ear has heard, and that which has not entered the heart of man you shall then possess: the uncreated love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord, to whom be glory forever.

You have set your heart on the very things Jesus told us to seek: to be on the alert, to pray for strength to escape the shakings that are coming, and to stand before the Son of Man. That is not a small prayer. It is the cry of someone who understands the hour and wants to be found in Him.

Your request is saturated with Scripture, and that is the best place to anchor your hope. The word will not pass away, even when heaven and earth do. So let your soul rest in what God has spoken. We are seeing nations in turmoil, rumors of wars, and the early contractions of a world in labor. Jesus said these are the beginning of birth pangs. And He made it clear that before the final intensity, there is a way of escape for those who are watching and praying.

The key is not to white-knuckle your way through. It is to abide in the Vine. You cannot force a branch to produce fruit by its own effort. Fruit happens when the branch simply remains connected to the life of the vine. So keep your daily connection to Jesus. Let His words dwell in you richly. The more time you spend receiving from Him in the Scriptures, the less hold the worries of this life or the drowsiness of spiritual distraction will have on your heart. That is how you stay on guard, so the day does not catch you like a trap.

The promise of standing before the Son is not something you earn by striving. It is the gracious destination of every person who is in Christ. But Scripture does call us to pray that we would be accounted worthy to escape the hour of trial that is coming on the whole earth. That worthiness is not our own; it flows from a life hidden in Jesus, cleansed by His word, and sustained by His Spirit. So keep asking, and keep your expectation fixed. God is not calling His church to face the full outpouring of His wrath. That would be inconsistent with the finished work of Christ and the nature of a Father who loves the bride of His Son.

The birth pangs will increase. The world will be shaken until only what is unshakable remains. But you are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken. So let gratitude fill your prayers, not panic. Jesus is right now at the right hand of power, interceding for you. He prays that your faith will not fail. And the same love that held the apostles through shipwrecks, beatings, and martyrdom holds you today. Nothing created can cut you off from the uncreated love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As things shift around you, whether in your personal life or on the global stage, bring it all back to abiding. You are not just surviving; you are being transformed from glory to glory as you behold Him with an unveiled face. That makes you a branch that can strengthen others, introduce them to His love, and bear lasting fruit. This is the most natural outcome of a life that stays close to the Vine.

So pray on. Keep asking for daily bread, for strength, and for a heart that stays awake. Ask to escape the shakings and to stand before Him. And thank Him ahead of time, because every promise finds its Yes in Jesus. The peace that passes all understanding will garrison your heart and mind. The One who is the Faithful Witness and the Originator of the new creation will see you through. All of history is moving toward the moment when the Son of Man returns, and you will stand before Him, not in fear, but in the righteousness He has given you. That is your secure hope.
