Prayer to come back to Jesus

Disciple of Prayer
Hey guys I hope you are all well. I am asking for prayers to come back to Jesus and beat lust as it is taking me away from Him. Please pray for this and for me to be a better person. I will pray for you too. Thank you so much and have a nice day❤️🥺

We hear your cry for help and rejoice that the Holy Spirit is drawing you back to the Savior. Your honesty about the struggle with lust is the first step toward freedom, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). The enemy wants to use shame to keep you isolated, but we stand with you in the light of Christ, where there is no condemnation for those who are in Him (Romans 8:1).

Lust is a counterfeit intimacy that steals true joy and replaces it with emptiness. It promises satisfaction but delivers only deeper hunger. Yet Jesus offers living water that truly quenches: "Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life" (John 4:14). We rebuke the spirit of lust in Jesus' name and declare that your eyes and heart belong to the Lord alone. Flee from temptation as Joseph did (Genesis 39:12), and fill your mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8).

Your desire to be a better person is beautiful, but remember that transformation comes not through self-effort alone, but by abiding in Christ: "I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). Spend time in God's Word daily, for "your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). Replace the lies of lust with the truth of Scripture, and let the Holy Spirit renew your mind (Romans 12:2).

We also encourage you to find accountability with godly believers who can pray with you and help you walk in purity. "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:16). You are not alone in this battle—Christ has already won the victory, and His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts that You never give up on Your children. We lift up our brother who is seeking to return to You and overcome the grip of lust. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain and set him free by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Cleanse his heart, mind, and eyes, and fill him with a hunger for Your Word and Your presence. Surround him with godly accountability and remind him daily of Your unfailing love and forgiveness.

Father, we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells him he is beyond Your grace. Help him to see himself as You see him—a beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Strengthen him to resist temptation and to walk in purity, not by his own strength, but by the power of Christ living in him. May he grow in holiness and become a light to others who are struggling.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). May he experience the joy of Your salvation anew and walk in the freedom that is found only in You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing into Jesus, dear brother. Every step you take toward Him is a step away from sin and into the abundant life He has promised. You are deeply loved, and your future in Christ is bright.

We're right there with you, brother, in this journey back to Jesus. We've all felt that tug away from Him, that whisper of lust trying to lead us astray. But remember, Jesus is calling you back, just as He called Peter out of the water, "Come." He's got you, and He's not letting go.

Let's fill our minds with His truth, like a fortress against lust's lies. Let's feast on His Word, let it be our strength and shield. Let's find our brothers and sisters in Christ, those who will walk with us, pray with us, and hold us accountable.

We're claiming that verse over you today, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." Lust might shout, but it's a liar. You are a child of God, redeemed, loved, and forgiven. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loves you.

Keep pressing into Jesus, brother. One step at a time. We're here with you, praying, believing, and loving you all the way. You've got this, in Christ.

Thank You for the gift of repentance that leads to life, Acts 11:18, for the godly sorrow I began receiving back in late July leading to repentance without regret, 2 Cor 8:7, and for the grace that has been increasing since then to wholly endeavor unto new obedience with an even greater zeal for the fear of God and hatred of evil, Prov 8:13.
.
I ask that now knowing the fear of God I might now persuade men, 2 Cor 5:11. Work all things together for good for those who love You and according to Your purpose are called, Rom 8:28. It was good for me to have been afflicted that I might learn the way of Your commandments, Ps 119:71.
.
Let the love of Christ control me, having concluded this: since You died for all, including me, that not only all died, but that I died, that not only that those who live, but that I who live, no longer live for myself but for Jesus who died and rose again on my behalf, 2 Cor 5:14, that crucified with Christ, Christ would live powerfully in me, and the life I now live in the flesh I’d live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me (and still loves me), and as He gave Himself for me, I may now do the same for Him, Gal 2:20.
.
Help me strive according to Your Holy Spirit’s power, Col 1:28, to serve righteousness to a greater degree (and longevity) than sin by wholehearted obedience to the sanctifying teachings of Your Word, which is truth, Jn 17:17, submitting my members to God as alive from the dead, willingly becoming a servant of righteousness, resulting in sanctification, even resulting in holiness, Rom 6:13-14, 15-16, 17-18. Under submission to local leaders and those who must give an account for my life, let me have good counsel, covering and protection, that "Kingdom Authority,” from The Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ, may continue to "flow from His Throne, unto His own, His Anthem rings,” as we trust the pastor is singing still with ever-increasing clarity...
.
By the mercies of God I submit my body a living and holy sacrifice acceptable to God, which is only reasonable, and ask to be transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what the will of God is, that which is not only good, or acceptable — and here is the ask — but that which is Your perfect will for the rest of my life, Rom 12:1-2, 3.
.
May the redemption by Jesus' blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, Eph 1:7, teach me wisdom in my inmost parts, Ps 51:6 — there make me to know wisdom — the fear of the Lord and hatred of evil and every false way, Ps 119:128. May my whole head be healed, my heart, having been cleansed, be pressed out and bandaged, softened with oil, Isa 1:15.
.
I ask for generous amounts of wisdom, James 1:5, I cry out for it, I lift my voice for understanding, Prov 2:6-7. In faith I seek you for You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, Heb 11:6. Let the peace of God rule and reign in our hearts as an umpire confirming or denying every thought, word and plan, Col 3:15, May Your Word, living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword, judge the thoughts and intents of my heart, Heb 4:12. May the words of my mouth and meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer, Ps 19:14. Let me "go out with joy and be led forth with peace," Isa 55:12, thank You for answering these prayers, as Jesus said, “ask in My name and you will receive and your joy will be made full," John 16:24, in Jesus' Name.
