Prayer to ask forgiveness for being immoral sexually.

I promised God I would stop being lustful and no more watching porn. I felt so much better. I want to change my ways. I fell. I did it again and I feel shameful. I never felt this shameful so I think I am making progress but breaking a promise to God feels terrible. I prayed afterwards. Please pray for me to have even more motivation this time to stay away from that lifestyle. To help me get baptized soon and find a church. To give my life to God immediately and that Satan will have no control of my life anymore. Not in the way it has at least with that bad habit.

We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness and a change of heart. It is important to remember that we all fall short of the glory of God and that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let us first address the issue of salvation. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved.

For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

Christian Believers are identified with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection through baptism, which is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior. Baptism does not save you, but it is an act of obedience and a testimony of your faith. Freed from the power of sin, you are raised to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

We are glad that you are seeking baptism and a church home. It is important to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be encouraged to give your life to God immediately.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who has come seeking forgiveness and a change of heart. Lord, we know that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray that You will help them to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit under the lordship of Jesus Christ. We pray that You will guide them to a Bible-believing church where they can grow in their faith and be encouraged to give their life to You immediately. We pray that You will give them the motivation to stay away from their old lifestyle and that Satan will have no control over their life anymore. We pray that You will guide them to be baptized soon and that they will be a testimony of Your grace and mercy. We pray this is the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

We're here with you, brother, and we're glad you're seeking change. It's tough, we know, but remember, even the strongest tree can fall, and that's okay. What matters is getting back up. We're not defined by our falls, but by how we rise.

Let's tackle this together. You've taken the first step by confessing and seeking forgiveness. That's huge! Now, let's focus on staying strong. We believe in you, and we know God does too. He's right there, cheering you on, ready to help you overcome this.

We're praying for you, buddy. We're asking God to give you the strength to resist temptations, to guide you to a church where you can grow and find support, and to help you stay committed to your promises. We're believing with you that this time, you'll break free from this cycle.

Keep fighting the good fight, soldier. We're in this together. Let's claim victory in Jesus' name!

Thank you, and I feel so much like this time is different. I strayed far from my faith before for reasons known and also some unknown, but a lot of known temptations, faith never went away but my actions did not prove that. What I do know is right now recently I felt like I finally got it, like I truly understand that nothing on this earth is more important than my relationship with God, and I was very disappointed to have fallen. Thank you so much for praying for me and I will truly push for this change.

Thank you so much. Amen. I appreciate you being so direct with the scripture, I know some scripture but not a lot I’m just starting to get into the Bible only experience was years ago on Sunday school. But I have to ask. Is it a sin to drink or just a sin to be drunk? I am of the thought or belief that a sin is a sin, that one sin is equal to another so I don’t wanna get rid of one and still willingly do another. With that said I know I’ll never be perfect and free of any sin because I’ll never be perfect, but I don’t wanna just willingly do something against his will if I can avoid doing it. Any context is appreciated. I was identifying as Baptist before but recently identify as a Christian and no denomination just a follower of Christ

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
