Prayer that the interviewer in ### will lose her job

Dexter2020

Good and Faithful Servant
Prayer that the interviewer in ### will lose her job due to discrimination and after she loses her job will barred her entry to ### and let her rot back in ### without a job.

We hear the pain and anger behind your request and we understand that experiencing what you believe was discrimination in an interview can feel deeply unjust and wounding, but we must lovingly rebuke the spirit of this prayer as it does not align with the heart of God. To ask that another person lose her livelihood, be barred from a place, and be left to rot without a job is to ask for vengeance and destruction, and scripture clearly tells us that this is not our place. Romans 12:19 says, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. And Romans 12:21 says, Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Our Lord Jesus calls us to a much higher standard even when we have been wronged. Matthew 5:44 says, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Luke 6:27-28 says, But I tell you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. Proverbs 24:17 says, Do not rejoice when your enemy falls. Do not let your heart be glad when he is overthrown. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

If discrimination truly occurred, God does care about justice and fairness, for Deuteronomy 32:4 says all His ways are justice, and Psalm 9:7-8 says He will judge the world in righteousness, but we are called to seek justice in a righteous and godly way without hatred or cursing, and to trust God to be the judge and to deal with the heart of the other person according to His perfect wisdom and mercy. Praying for someone's ruin hardens our own heart and keeps us in bitterness, while God desires to free us through forgiveness.

We also notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by putting our faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are reconciled to God and can come boldly before Him, not with curses against others but with petitions for grace and transformation.

So together we choose to pray differently than was requested.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Father we bring before You the hurt and frustration felt after this interview experience. We ask You to heal any wound, to remove bitterness and the desire for revenge, and to fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Lord we lift up the interviewer as well, we do not know her heart or motives, but You do, and we ask that You would bless her, convict her if any wrong was done, lead her to fairness and kindness, and keep her in Your mercy. Father if injustice occurred, we ask that You bring truth to light in Your way and that You open right doors for employment and provision according to Your will. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven us, to love those who have hurt us, and to trust Your justice and Your goodness. Lead us both toward repentance, wholeness, and reconciliation where possible, and let Your will be done in each life. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only hope and mediator, Amen.

We encourage you to release this anger to the Lord, to ask Him to search your heart and to give you His love for this person, and if you believe discrimination happened, to seek wise and lawful counsel in a calm and respectful manner while continuing to pray for that woman's good and not her harm. 1 Peter 3:9 says, not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult, but instead blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

We hear how painful that interview experience must have been to leave you feeling discriminated against and wanting to see the interviewer face consequences. When we feel wronged in a moment that matters for our future, the anger and hurt can stay with us a long time.

We have walked with many people who felt that same sting, and what we have seen is that holding onto a desire to get even often weighs most heavily on the person carrying it. It can keep the hurt fresh and make it harder to move forward, even while the other person may be unaware. There is a difference between making a quiet decision to release the pursuit of revenge, and the slower work of our emotions catching up over time as we grieve what happened and turn the matter over to God.

If this is still weighing on you, it may help to talk it through with a trusted pastor or counselor who knows you, and if you believe discrimination truly occurred, to seek wise counsel about any proper next steps rather than carrying the burden alone. We also want to continue to pray for provision and open doors for you as you look ahead.

Father, we bring this hurt to You and ask for Your healing and peace in this heart. Ease the resentment and give wisdom for what to do next, and provide for every need for work and future. Guard both hearts involved and lead each toward what is right in Your sight. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard the heaviness and hurt that lies behind your words, and we understand that you feel you have been wronged and despised. When a sense of injustice burns within us, the heart is sorely tempted to ask for the harm of another, but the Spirit of God calls us to a better way.

There is forgiveness with God, and it is a divine forgiveness. He says, I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is a surprising forgiveness, so great that it is repeated lest any should doubt it, and it is a complete forgiveness. Jesus Christ bore our punishment, and God will not exact the penalty twice. If you have felt the sting of sin and the weight of your own need of mercy, you know that you have received so much manifest forgiveness that for you to forgive should become as natural as to open your hands. He not only forgave at the first, but he continues daily to forgive, and that forgiveness is eternal and perfect, keeping no back reckonings and retaining no reserves of anger.

Our Lord lived a life of forgiveness and crowned it with His dying prayer for His persecutors, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. He loved His enemies and died for His enemies, and we are called to copy that pattern. Even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. This forgiveness of those who offend against us is gloriously ennobling. Revenge is paltry, forgiveness is great minded. One effect of truly feeling the bitterness of our own sin against Christ is to take away all bitterness against our fellow men. When we have said, how much I offended God and yet He has forgiven me, we find ourselves made sweet, gentle, kind, tender and forgiving towards others.

We cannot join you in asking God to take away another's livelihood or to cause her to rot without provision, for that would be to ask God to harm one for whom Christ also died. Instead let us pray together in the way Christ has taught us.

Let us pray that the Lord will heal your wound and give you peace where there has been turmoil, that He will bring forth justice with truth and mercy where wrong has been done, and that He will not leave you in bitterness. Let us pray also for the interviewer, that if wrong was done it may be seen and repented of, and that God would bless her with conviction, grace and the knowledge of His mercy, and that He would provide for you the right door to be opened for honest work and daily bread. May the Lord who promises oblivion to all our debt through trust in Christ, grant you a heart to forgive even as you have been forgiven, and keep you from the grim despair that comes from nourishing revenge.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The hurt you felt in being treated unjustly is real, and it is right to bring that pain before God who sees all and judges rightly. Yet we cannot pray as you have asked, to ask God to make another person lose her job, be barred from a country, and be left to rot without work. To pray that way would be to ask God to do what He forbids us to desire.

Scripture warns us to look diligently lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and by it many be defiled. A bitter root does not bear sweet fruit. All that comes from it is bitter, full of hatred and abomination, and like a little leaven it leavens the whole lump. Bitterness produces wrath, wrath anger, anger clamor, clamor railing, and from there the heart moves to malice and to deeds of revenge. Even when that anger is kept silent within, it is like a fire fed inside that burns the soul and is more destructive than an open flame.

For this reason we are told, let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and railing be put away from you, with all malice. The putting away of evil is not enough by itself. We must also put on what is good, and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave us. If we have forgiven our neighbor, we can then draw near with boldness to ask forgiveness for ourselves, for God is far more merciful than we are. But if we hold on to resentment, we grieve the Holy Spirit and our own prayer is hindered.

Prayer is a mighty weapon, but it is heard when offered with faith, with watching and perseverance, and with the gifts God desires, which are forgetfulness of wrongs, kindness and meekness. We cannot come before Him to call down ruin on another and at the same time ask for His mercy for ourselves.

So instead we will pray with you and for you in a way that seeks what is good and holy. We will pray that God would heal the wound this experience has left, guard your heart from taking root in bitterness, provide for your needs and open right doors for work according to His will, and give you peace. We will pray that He would bring justice where there has been true discrimination, but that He would do so in His righteous way, not through our vengeance, for vengeance belongs to the Lord. And we will pray for the interviewer herself, not for her harm, but that if she has acted unjustly she would be convicted, repent, and be changed, and that she would come to know the mercy that is in Christ alone.

If you are willing, ask the Lord to purge resentment from your soul, to help you forgive as you have been forgiven, and to make you tender hearted even toward those who have wronged you. That is the path that leads to calm for your own soul and to a hearing before God.
