Prayer that the Fans of War will be CALMED

Father, please calm the fans of war. There are several countries which seem to be considering using a nuclear weapon! Please de-escalate this, and protect all the world from any nuclear war. Please calm all disputes and please end the wars. Please protect our farmers and their crops and protect the food supply for all of the world. Father, there are many signs which point to the Last Days. Help us not to fear, and not to waste time. Help us to spend our time and resources GETTING PREPARED. Please provide guidance as to how to get prepared. Please wake people up and wake up churches who are not paying attention to the signs all around them. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in lifting this burden before the Father and we agree together for His mercy over the nations. Our hearts are heavy with you over the talk of war and the threat of nuclear weapons, and we seek the Lord who alone can turn the hearts of rulers and calm the storms among men.

We remember that the king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. Proverbs 21:1 and that He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire. Psalm 46:9. The desire for war and the stirring up of conflict comes from pride and the lusts of the flesh, for What is the cause of your quarrels and conflicts among you. Is it not the passions that war in your members. James 4:1. We rebuke that spirit of strife and the fans of war who delight in destruction, and we pray that God will bring conviction, restraint, and repentance to leaders and to peoples who call for bloodshed. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. Matthew 5:9 and If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18.

We pray together for de-escalation and for protection from the horror of nuclear war. We ask the Father to hold back those who would press such a terrible button, to confuse every evil counsel, to calm disputes, and to bring an end to wars that are devouring lives and resources. We ask Him to protect the farmers and their crops and to guard the food supply for the whole world, for He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth. Psalm 104:14 and our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.

You are right to discern the signs of the last days, and we do not want to waste the time we have been given. Jesus told us You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for this must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Matthew 24:6-7. We take comfort that we are not to live in fear, for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 and He says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We pray that the Lord will help us to be truly prepared, first spiritually and then practically. True preparation begins with watching and being ready for the return of Christ, for Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord comes. Matthew 24:42 and Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you do not expect, the Son of Man will come. Matthew 24:44. We ask Him to wake us up and to wake up churches that are sleeping, for it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for now is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed. Romans 13:11. We ask Him to give us wisdom to redeem the time, to steward our resources well, to provide for our households, to help our neighbors, and to use everything we have for the work of the gospel while there is still time.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to Your throne. We ask You to calm the fans of war and to restrain every hand that reaches for nuclear weapons. Turn the hearts of presidents and generals and counselors toward peace, frustrate every plan for mass destruction, and make wars to cease. End the wars that are raging now and heal the lands that have been torn apart. Protect the farmers, bless the work of their hands, guard the seed and the harvest, and keep the food supply from failing, so that the hungry may be fed. Cast out fear from our hearts and fill us with Your power and love and sound minds. Forgive us for wasting time and teach us to number our days and to live wisely. Show us how to get prepared, how to watch and pray, how to live holy lives, and how to be good stewards of what You have entrusted to us. Awaken Your people, awaken the churches that are not paying attention, open eyes to see the signs You have given, and draw many to repentance and salvation before the day of the Lord comes. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.

We read your prayer and we are standing with you in it. Watching talk of war and nuclear threats while caring about farmers, food, and families is a lot to hold, and it makes sense that you would feel unsettled and want to be ready.

We appreciate your heart not just to be afraid but to use your time well and to see churches awake and caring. Wanting to be prepared is a good and steady desire when it comes from trust rather than panic.

One gentle step that has helped others carrying similar burdens is to give your concern a clear place. Choose a set time to pray for leaders, for de-escalation, and for those who grow and transport food, and then give yourself permission to step away from the constant news cycle the rest of the day. It can also help to talk with a trusted pastor or a couple of mature believers about what faithful preparation looks like in your setting, so you are not carrying the questions alone and can focus on simple, wise stewardship with what you have while continuing to love your neighbors well.

Father, we bring the nations before you and ask for mercy and restraint. Calm those who stir up war, give wisdom to those in authority, and protect communities and the food so many depend on. Quiet fear in our hearts and help us walk faithfully with you today, using our time and resources well. In Jesus name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your earnest prayer and we take it up with you before the throne of grace, for the Lord who planted the ear must hear, and He who formed the eye must see. You are not praying to a deaf God. There is no end of worship and no end of hope while we believe that He hears the cries of His people, even when the signs of the times are dark and direful and the earth seems deluged with rumors of war.

You ask that the fans of war may be calmed and that the terrible threat of the nuclear fire may be restrained. We join you in this. It is the Christian's duty ever to have war with war, to have no fellowship with the shedding of blood, and to pray that the Lord would restrain the wrath of man. We pray that He who holds the hearts of kings in His hand would de-escalate these disputes, would put a bridle upon the ambitions of nations, and would in His mercy protect the innocent, the farmer in his field and the crops which must feed the world. Bread is of the Lord's giving, and we entreat Him to preserve the harvest and the food supply which His own hand provides.

You speak also of fear, and of the signs which point to the Last Days, and you ask that we may not fear and may not waste time but may get prepared. Here is wisdom. The angel's word at Bethlehem still sounds over every dark night, Fear not. That word was not for shepherds only but for all to whom the glad tidings come. There is a slavish fear which perfect love casts out, the dread of a bondman before his master, and from that we are delivered in Christ. There is also a filial fear, a holy reverence and awe which is the beginning of wisdom, and that fear we must cherish. The fear of man bringeth a snare, but in the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence. Therefore we say with the prophet, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. Why should you fear him that can kill the body and after that hath no more that he can do. Fear Him who is able to save both body and soul, and having feared Him with a child's reverent love, you will then have nothing else to fear.

You ask how to get prepared and how the churches may be awakened. Take Noah for your pattern. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear and prepared an ark. Faith was the living principle, but holy fear was the moving power, and obedience was the gracious fruit. He did not merely store up provision for the flesh, he believed God and he obeyed. So must we be prepared. The first preparation is of the heart. You must have Christ in the heart and in the life, or else to turn over the Books of Scripture is an end of the matter so far as you are concerned. Know your Bible, that is good, but know the Christ of the Bible better. Flee to Jesus, who alone is salvation, and whose name is high over all, in earth or sky, before whom angels fall and devils fly. Trust Him, repent of sin, and walk in His ways. Then let that faith move you to watchfulness. There must be no slumbering, no ease, no surrender. The children of Ephraim being armed turned their backs in the day of battle, but Christ wants no cowardice of you. Be sober, be vigilant, redeem the time, pray without ceasing, labour while it is called today, and war without deliberation against error and deceit and every sin within and without.

We pray thus with you. O Lord our God, calm the passions of men who fan the flames of war. Restrain the counsels that would loose destruction upon the earth. In Thy mercy withhold that dread weapon which man has devised, and let peace be proclaimed where war is threatened. Preserve the fields and the hands that till them, and give seedtime and harvest for the feeding of the peoples. Take slavish fear from Thy people and give them filial fear and strong confidence in Thee. Help us not to waste our days, but to be ready, as Noah was ready, by faith in Christ and obedience to Thy word. Awaken Thy churches that sleep, open blind eyes to see the signs around us, and make us faithful to warn and to win souls while there is time. We ask this not because we are worthy, but for the sake of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, in whose name we pray. Amen.
