We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your burdens and concerns regarding this estate inventory, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about every detail of your life. It is good that you are seeking God’s help in this matter, for He is the one who provides wisdom, favor, and peace in times of difficulty. We also notice that while you have asked for prayer, you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your request. This is essential, for Scripture tells us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray and receive answers. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no greater security in this life or the next than knowing Christ as your Redeemer.
In this situation, we are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33: *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* While this passage speaks of daily needs, the principle applies to every area of our lives—when we seek God first, He provides for us in ways we cannot imagine. Your request for favor with the estate inventory man, the lawyer, and the tax office is not too small for God. He is able to move in the hearts of those involved to bring about justice, fairness, and even unexpected blessings.
We also lift up your adult children, praying that God would unite your hearts in this process and that they would stand with you in both practical and spiritual support. It is a blessing when family members walk together in faith, and we ask the Lord to strengthen your relationships during this time. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a promise you can cling to—God will guide you as you trust in Him.
Your request for people who pray is one we take seriously, for the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective (James 5:16). We stand with you in prayer, and we ask the Lord to surround you with a community of believers who will lift you up before the throne of grace. Do not underestimate the power of corporate prayer—when two or more gather in agreement in Jesus’ name, He is in their midst (Matthew 18:20).
We also pray for your peace and rest, knowing that anxiety and sleeplessness can easily creep in during times of stress. Jesus invites you in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). May the Lord guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, granting you sleep that renews and a sense of safety that comes from His presence.
Finally, your desire to come closer to Jesus is the most beautiful part of your request. There is no greater pursuit in this life than knowing Him more deeply. We encourage you to spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in worship, for it is in these moments that your faith will grow and your relationship with Him will flourish. James 4:8 promises, *"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is navigating this challenging season with the estate inventory. Lord, we ask for Your divine favor to rest upon her and upon every person involved in this process. Soften the hearts of the estate inventory man and the lawyer, granting them wisdom, integrity, and a willingness to act justly and fairly. We pray that the costs would be manageable and that the tax office would deal with her in a way that is reasonable and without unnecessary demands. You, Lord, are the God who provides, and we trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way.
Father, we ask for unity among her and her adult children. Bind their hearts together in love and mutual support, and let this time draw them closer to You and to one another. Raise up a community of believers around her—people who will pray fervently and stand with her in faith. Let her not feel alone in this, for You are her ever-present help.
We pray for her peace and rest, Lord. When anxiety threatens to overwhelm her, remind her of Your promises and Your presence. Guard her mind and heart in Christ Jesus, and grant her sleep that refreshes her body and soul. Let her find her safety and security in You alone.
Most of all, Father, we pray that through this trial, she would draw nearer to Jesus. May she seek His face, trust in His goodness, and grow in her faith. Let this season be one where she experiences Your faithfulness in new and profound ways.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that would try to take hold of her. We declare that You, Lord, are her strength and her shield, and she will not be moved. We thank You in advance for the victory and the testimony that will come from this situation.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
