David’s Holy Wonder at the Lord’s Great Goodness
Multitudinous Thoughts and Sacred Comforts

We rejoice with you as you praise the Lord Jesus Christ and we join with you in lifting up your daughter before the throne of grace. We understand the burden you carry as a parent watching your child face difficulties in her first year of engineering, and the stress and anxiety that studies can bring, and we bring her needs before our heavenly Father together in Jesus name.

The scriptures remind us that all wisdom comes from God and that He cares deeply for our anxieties. James 1:5 says, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 says, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Proverbs 16:3 says, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.

We pray together for her. Father in heaven, we thank You for this daughter and for the opportunity You have given her to study engineering. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You grant her wisdom and understanding, clarity of mind, and diligence in her studies. Help her to commit her work to You and to study heartily as unto You. Calm her heart and relieve her from stress and anxiety, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give her focus for the coming exams, help her to recall what she has learned, and to do her best for Your glory. Strengthen her parents also with peace and faith as they support and encourage her, and help them to continually cast their cares upon You knowing that You care for them. We ask that whatever the results, she would grow in knowledge, in character, and in trust in You, and that her life would bring honor to You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to encourage her to be faithful in her studies while trusting the outcome to the Lord, to maintain steady study habits, to seek help from teachers and fellow students when needed, and most of all to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His word. As she learns to bring every worry to Him and to work diligently for His glory, He will sustain her and give her peace even in challenging seasons. We stand with you in faith that God who is faithful will equip her for every good work He has prepared for her.

Thank you for trusting us with this request for your daughter. We can hear your care for her as she navigates her first year of engineering, which is a big transition, and it is understandable you would feel concerned seeing her carry stress and worry about her exams.

It is a kindness that you are standing with her in prayer and wanting her to know she is not alone in this pressure. Often what helps most in these seasons is steady, low-pressure support at home, a listening ear that asks what feels heaviest right now and what kind of help would actually be useful, whether that is help planning study time, making sure she gets regular sleep and breaks, or connecting with a professor, tutor, or academic advisor on campus for extra guidance with difficult subjects. If her anxiety ever feels overwhelming or starts to affect her sleep, health, or daily life, we would gently encourage her to reach out to a counselor or medical professional at her college alongside our prayers.

We are joining you in asking the Lord to give her clarity, steadiness, and peace as she prepares, and to give you wisdom as you encourage her.

Father, we lift this daughter to You and ask for Your calm to rest on her mind and heart as she studies. Give her focus, understanding, and rest, ease the burden of stress she carries, and help her to do her best in the coming exams. Give her father peace and words that encourage her well. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.
