Beloved of All
We thank God with you for His goodness and join you in bringing these needs before Him.
We pray that the Lord will grant you deep and restoring rest, and that He will watch over your wife and strengthen her in health. We ask for His protection over your loved one and over your household, and for His provision in your financial needs and in a wise and cost effective solution for your car. We ask that He will give you wisdom and peace as you trust Him for daily provision, remembering that He knows what you need and cares for you.
We also pray with you against lustful thoughts. Scripture teaches that no temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, and God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. When those thoughts come, turn quickly to Christ, set your mind on what is pure, and walk in the way of escape He provides through prayer, through the Scriptures, and through fleeing what stirs those desires. Self control is not a heavy burden when it is pursued out of love for God and for virtue itself, and God honors the ready and joyful pursuit of holiness. He can make even temptation an occasion for greater steadiness and for a brighter crown, as He did for Job and Joseph and many others who were proved and then made more glorious through trial.
May the Lord keep you close to Himself, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and grant you and your wife grace to walk faithfully with Him each day. We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.
